From the moment Anil Kapoor bought the Indian Version official rights of the famous American T.V Series 24, The Trade, Press, Media and Viewers started drawing certain comparisons. Some started comparing Anil Kapoor with Keifer Sutherland, while others started analyzing Indian Viewer's acceptance towards the show. Anil Kapoor's '24' premiered its first episode tonight at 10 pm on Colors. It also replaced the popular comedy show, Comedy Nights With Kapil.So how is the show? Will it shatter all Daily Soap records with its TRP? Will 24 bring a new revolution in the history of Indian Television? Can 24 become a platform where a T.V watching viewer starts accepting big stars on small screen (On a Serial Format, of course and not in some Game or Reality based shows)?The serial's first episode starts with an explanation from its protagonist Jai Singh Rathod (Anil Kapoor) where he explains how India has faced some major terrorist attacks and for which Indian Government has formed ATU (Anti-Terrorist Unit) to protect our country from any such future damages. Jai Singh Rathod is the head of this ATU.Jai Singh Rathod is celebrating his wife Trisha Rathod's (Tisca Chopra) birthday along with his daughter Kiran (Sapna Pabbi). Jai get's a call from Nikita Rai (Mandira Bedi) who is a government agent at ATU. The minute Jai reaches the ATU Wing, He is informed about a serious threat on PoliticianAditya Singhania (Neil Bhoopalam) who is a Prime-Ministerial candidate and a youth icon. Aditya Singhania's life is in danger. Jai (While his way to ATU) get's a call from Wasim Khan (Anupam Kher) who is a Research and Analysis wing (RAW) officer informing about a "Rat" in ATU wing.Irritated by his father's behavior, Kiran goes out to party with her friends without informing her mother. The result is she goes missing.Aditya Singhania is ready to take his oath the next day with a prepared speech by his Mother (Anita Raj). But all hell breaks loose when he gets an immediate call from a T.V Channel head (Suchitra Pillai) who informs him about some of his dark crime which he committed 12 years back.A contract Killer is on his way from Thailand but killed in the Flight itself by another Femme Fatale. The Indian adaptation of '24', retains all the elements of the international series, the real-time, pulse-pounding, fast-paced format with split screens and complex interweaving storylines, with 24 episodes capturing 24 hours.Director Abhinay Deo does full justice with his dedicated direction along with tight screenplay by writers Rensil D'Silva and Milan Milaap Zaveri. This one does not at all looks like a T.V Series but it looks like a One Hour feature film on TV. Full marks to the Direction, Writing and Production team for creating a wonderful extravaganza on small screen. Performance wise, The show totally belongs to the one and only Anil Kapoor who makes you sit tight without touching your Remote Control buttons with his charm and persona. Keifer Sutherland as Jack Bauer might have been good there, but here Anil Kapoor is extra-ordinarily amazing as Jai Singh Rathod. Tisca Chopra, Anupam Kher, Mandira Bedi are superb in their respective parts. Neil Bhoopalam is just outstanding as Aditya Singhania and trust me, this first season belongs to him after Jai Singh Rathod. We are yet to see Shabana Azmi, But it was nice to see Anita Raj in a mind blowing role after a long time. Special mention to the actress who played Femme Fatale, The one who killed the contract killer and jumps from the flight. She hardly had 10 minutes in the First Episode, but she made her presence felt real strong.It is reported, some major channels initially refused to buy the idea of Indian Version of 24, At least not until Colors swooped in. I am very much sure those channels now regret it. I really have no clue or will not lay a challenge if 24 beats other Thrillers running strongly on other TV Channels with huge TRP's, But 24 will be the most exciting, The most talked about and the most interesting TV Mini Series India has ever produced.Prepare yourself on every Fridays and Saturdays at 10pm for a Thrilling roller coaster ride of 24 as this one is most Powerful, Gripping and an Honest show you will ever come across.

Anywhere Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor goes, one question sure comes up in everyone’s mind that how he manages to look so young at this age. To which, Mr. India actor smilingly replies that he tries to live by his heart and keep on smiling to one and all. But, above to that he says he is a good lover, who loves to spread love and collects the same from family and friends that directly persuade his charm.   The actor, recently in an interview explained that however hectic work schedules are, he has never deprived himself of family time. “The actor is particularly unable to spend time with his spouse, Sunita Kapoor. He therefore makes it a point to have the first meal of the day, breakfast, with his beloved wife, every morning, even after 30 years of married life,” sources explained.How romantic it is! That’s what Anil makes to perform lively in front of camera. The actor is currently busy promoting his TV series 24 that will mark Anil Kapoor’s debut on television. The show is a Hindi adaption of American series with same name. Written by Rensil D'Silva and Bhavani Iyer, directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Anil Kapoor Films, it will premiere on the Viacom co-owned Colors channel on 4th October 2013.

Looks like B-town fashionista Sonam Kapoor is ready to follow the footsteps of her daddy Anil Kapoor, who has made his small screen debut with TV show 24, which he has produced and also acting in. The show has been receiving fabulous reviews.It is said that Sonam has been bagging interesting offers, hence don’t be surprised if you soon see her on TV screen. The style diva has been offered to make guest appearances, as well as offers to judge reality shows. It may has to do with the fact that she is extremely popular among kids and teenagers, owing to her fashion sense."Sonam is very popular among kids, especially teenagers for her fashion sense. So much so that the actress keeps getting offers to make appearances on kids based reality shows," said a source close to the actress. However, the beauty is waiting for some very interesting offer to come her way. "She is open to do television shows when something which interests her comes along," the source added. After tasting success with Raanjhanaa and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Sonam will now be seen in the remake of Hrishikesh Mukerjee-directed 1980 family drama Khubsoorat.We hope success keep coming her way!

Recently buzz had that Rajkummar Rao was ousted from upcoming film NH10, as actress and co-producer Anushka Sharma was not happy with him being the leading hero. For those unaware, Anushka is co-producing the action thriller with Phantom Films.Meanwhile, clearing the air regarding Anushka’s interference, Rao, 29, said that the decision to leave the project was mutual, and Anushka has nothing to do with this.  "I never signed NH 10 officially. I was supposed to do it. Then it got delayed. Then I moved on to other films like Kai Po Che and Shahid. Then I started working on another film. I can't do two films at the same time. I prefer doing one film at a time," said Rajkummar."So it was a mutual decision. I share a very good relation with the team. I think Anushka is also a very sensible girl. She is a really good actor and I don't think she will do anything like that," he added. It is said that it was Anushka’s call to replace Rajkummar with actor Neil Bhoopalam, who is currently seen in Anil Kapoor's 24.However, Rao says he has no issues with Anushka at all. Let’s hope the peace continues!

Fear is always about the worst that can happen.  Once you start experiencing things and taking challenges, going after what you're afraid of and doing things, you start losing your fear. You realise that even if things don't turn up how you expect them to, life goes on and things are not really as bad as you expect them to be even in the worst times,'' says the 30-year-old actress. Continuing further, she said, ''It's all about letting go of your fears and not being afraid to do whatever you need to do.'' At the same time, she denied being in relationship with Ranbir Kapoor and claimed to be single rather. "I am single until I get married. This sentence was mine and now everybody uses it. I should have a copyright over it. Also, I have no plans to get married yet," said Katrina Kaif. Quizzed why the alleged couple is always stalked by the media, she answered, "May be, because everyone is single or married. I don't mind people running behind me. Celebrities are open to such things," she added.Dhoom 3 will releases on December 20!

Even though her film Besharam, which was her first film as the leading lady, didn’t work well at the box-office, the pretty lass Pallavi Sharda is keeping her chin-up, and is proud of her work. Despite coming from Australia, this Indian-origin girl took the task to fit in the role of Delhi-Punjabi girl in the film helmed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap. "I think I always wanted to play different characters. This is what I have done in my life. I am happy to oscillate between an urban city girl and 'desi' girl," she says.You may know that she debuted in Bollywood playing a small-town girl in Manoj Bajpai’s Dus Tola, and then went on to star in films like My Name Is Khan and Love Breakups Zindagi. "In any case I do come from an Indian family. I thought it would be a great challenge to be seen as this 'desi' girl." Glad to work with Ranbir Kapoor in her first leading role, she said, "Ranbir is such an amazing person. He is supportive, generous, gives a lot of space and understands that there is a lot of work done through team work," she gushes, "I had no hesitation about how he would be as a co-actor. He is a brilliant actor and always on the top of the game. That was a further challenge for me only to pull myself up. Also, Abhinav was always there to push me into delivering my best. I think Ranbir doesn't come across as a superstar that he is. He is just a hard working actor. Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor and veteran actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu starrer Besharam has slipped at the box-office despite a good opening. Directed by Abhinav Singh Kashyup, the film was released on October 2 over 3600 screens across the India and 700 screens overseas. Trade experts say that the movie had a good opening, but couldn’t retain the footfalls on the subsequent days.Not only critics disliked the film, but audience was not too impressed with the movie and given feedback that with Besharam, Ranbir sinks to a low. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh termed the collection of the film at box office an epic disappointment. He Tweeted, “Besharam (earned) Wednesday Rs.21.56 crore, Thursday Rs.7.13 crore, Friday Rs.5.68 crore, Saturday Rs.5.94 crore. Total is Rs.40.31 crore net. Epic disappointment!”He updated, “Besharam collects 47.31 net in its 5-day opening weekend [Wed to Sun]: Wednesday 21.56 crore, Thursday 7.13 crore, Friday 5.68 crore, Saturday 5.94 crore, Sunday 7 crore.” Also starring newcomer Pallavi Sharda, Besharam was made at a budget of Rs.60 crore in addition to the cost of promotions, marketing and advertising. “First day was good, but second day onwards the performance of the film has drastically dropped. Even on weekend, I don’t see any improvement,” Puneet Sahay of Spice Cinemas said.It is co-produced by Himanshu Mehra, Sanjeev Gupta and Reliance Entertainment.

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's last romantic sojourn hogged limelight after pictures of their Ibiza stint, her in a mismatched bikini and him in shorts, were leaked. But that does not seem to have deterred the twosome as they are planning a vacation on New Year Eve. This time they are set to usher in 2014 in New York.Their good friends Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji and Manish Malhotra will also join them in the celebration. According to the little birdie, “Ranbir has wrapped up a small portion of Jagga Jasoos and his schedule is such that personal commitments don't hinder his film. Katrina too has worked out a plan to leave the city in the last week of December. They will be joined by Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji and Manish Malhotra.”It is known that last year Karan and Manish brought in the New Year in Dubai while Ranbir and Katrina celebrated in the States.
