Many of the participants in the UW-Stout E-Learning and Online Teaching Graduate Certificate Program use Google Sites to create their e-portfolios. The portfolios are created and used throughout the program. During the practicum, when students become teachers by teaching in one of our graduate classes, they also refine and polish their portfolios. Ultimately the online portfolio becomes a job search tool that helps our graduates show a potential employer what they know.

Genachowski, Obama's law school classmate, announced in a speech Monday at the Brookings Institution his intent to codify and expand the four current broadband principles (.pdf) known as the Four Freedoms and extend them to all broadband connections. He said that an open internet is necessary for economic growth and democratic participation. The rules were originally applied only to wireline broadband services, and the FCC kept postponing any ruling on whether they also applied to wireless services.

I've learned a lot of lessons as a Google trainer, A LOT! So to help other trainers, I put together a framework for Google PD that I hope others will benefit from. I'm sharing the order that I teach G Suite apps as well as sharing free resources and tips along the way. Of course, every teacher/trainer is different, with a different personality and different strengths and weaknesses; and every group of participants varies as well."

Compared to dealing with checklists in notetaking apps like Evernote or Google Keep, creating and using checklists in Sheets feels rather cumbersome, particularly when you want to use them on a mobile devices such as a tablet or smartphone."
