Net neutrality is an important issue being addressed by the US government right now to prevent companies from sort of creating their own version of the Internet. These rules are supposed to keep things "open." Ubiquitous computing in education, as defined in this book, is teachers and students having access to technology (computing devices, the Internet, services) whenever and wherever they need it. In a world of ubiquitous computing, the technology is always accessible and is not the focus of learning. I really enjoyed intrepid teacher's thoughts about changing your avatar and self expression. I think this is very insightful into what is in the minds of our students and children. I don't think I change my picture much as it reminds me that I have 40 pounds to lose.
