in the past few days since the unveiling of the iPhone 4S everyone seems to be talking about 1 thing. Siri. An apparently "old" voice recognition technology. of course all the trolls will be yelling old and this is copied, but infact apple has done an amazing job because it is so easy to use, and it is integrated in the iOS very well.

Blackberry users are mad. And why shouldn't they be? RIM went down. RIM is what MAKES Blackberrys. The outage that lasted more than three days has now been resolved, and to make amends for it, RIM does not only apologize, but also offers 12 free apps. Woo hoo. But, there is also a month of free technical support. So, there is something to gain. Millions of customers worldwide were left without access to various apps, email, etc. Is this a big enough apology?

After a BlackBerry service outage that lasted more than three days, RIM is trying to make fix their mistakes  by offering them a selection of premium apps for free, as well as one month of free technical support. The RIM service outage was the biggest one they have ever had, and alot of customers are starting to switch, but RIM ensures this will never happen again... yeah right...

All Blackberry users including myself were all ticked off after the 3 day service outage. As an apology, RIM (company that makes Blackberrys) decided to offer 12 free apps for Blackberry users. (Bejeweled, Texas Hold'em Poker 2, Bubble Bash and Shazam Encore) On top of that RIM has given us one month of technical support. I admit that RIM is trying hard to get back on track but sadly this isn't going to keep customers from switching phones. :$

Huzzah! Siri has been released! And.....it's "still a work in progress," as Mashable puts it. Siri is now on all iPhone 4S 's and it's very convenient. But, it's still in the works - sometimes it doesn't respond, or get exactly what you want it to. But I suppose, what can you expect when there's still more work to do. Apple is assuring that it will be continuously improved. It is clever, you have to admit. The future looks good, as long as they can upgrade and improve Siri as well as possible.

These are just two different views of how Apple and Google deal with issues in their OS' and how they tend to fix them by gathering info from either users or looking it over themselves.

what Apple concentrated on most was Siri, the iPhone's virtual assistant. Built on the foundation of artificial intelligence technology developed from the CALO project, Siri takes natural language and turns it into action. Siri will make you fall in love with the phone. The only problem is now people will forget how to spell words, but they might improve grammar.

Research In Motion is on a quest for goodwill after last week's massive outage that left BlackBerry users without service for three days. The company just took to the wires and announced that over a $100 worth of premium apps will eventually be free for a limited time and enterprise users will also net one month of free technical support. RIM hopes SIM 3, Bejeweled, N.O.V.A. and many more will help calm the nerves those BlackBerry users thinking of jumping ship.

RIM could not pick a worst time for their servers to crash, as it was the release of the new iPhone 4S. Many blackberry users instantly switched to the 4S because they know that it will be a very reliable phone.

Relating the DS to Lady Gaga. Interesting. Anyways, the DS has gone through so many changes in its lifespan. I for one know that the one I had became obsolete months later, and that was annoying. So I sold it. But the opposite is happening for Nintendo. Apparently, DS sales have skyrocketed, but the 3DS sales have decreased shockingly. Why is that, exactly? Probably because Nintendo will now face some competition. Even after the huge price cut, they've only sold have a million units. Team Nintendo!

The Wii is so five years ago. But, could this bring it back? There is a possibility, which is exactly what the people at Nintendo jumped on. The new and improved Gamecube-free Wii is coming to North America. Not only that, but it comes with a copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack (wow I've always wanted this) and is designed to lie on its side. The new Wii refresh has been advertised in Europe for around $150, so no big price drop. However, there is a twist to this story, folks. The old and Gamecube-compatible Wii will remain available, at the SAME  $150 price tag. So, really. What's the point? Making it the same price is only going to confuse people, and sales might not be as high as they want. 

You may think cellphones are harmless, but think again. Cellphones do emit radio frequency energy. The National Cancer Institute explains points on how to avoid this. You could use a hands-free kit and don't spend a long period of time on your phone near your head. This is especially for the people who spend a long time talking to someone on the phone. This has no link between having a cellphone and tumours in the brain or nervous system. Therefore, people who own phones should not take a long time when talking to somebody and when driving, use a bluetooth or put your phone on speaker. 

linux is getting its big break. many big name companies in the entertainment industry are starting to take notice. samsung is going towards realeasing a linux based phone platform which will be called tizen. tizen will be made for smartphones, notebooks, netbooks, smart tv's and last but not least tablets. as for the smart tv's, fujitsu, and panasonic are looking towards investing into linux.

iOS 5 is finally coming out for people who haven't bought the new iPhone 4S and for developers, who have been testing the Beta version for about 2 months now. Apple has prepared for the mass server blockage that will come with tomorrows release by making it a must to install itunes 10.5 otherwise you simply cannot get the new version.

Following a statement from the company earlier today to confirm that it is working to restore BlackBerry services around the world, RIM's co-CEO Mike Lazaridis has release a video in which he apologizes to BlackBerry users for over three days of downtime affecting BlackBerry Messenger, email, and internet access.

That's right, folks, the legal battles between Apple and Samsung are far from over. The Cupertino company has successfully won its case to have a preliminary injunction slapped on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia, meaning Samsung cannot sell its 10-inch slate down under.

There's no escape. The Blackberry service outage is now impacting users on almost every planet, CNN reports. Tatooine and Coruscant appear to not have been affected yet, but users all over Geonosis, Naboo and Yavin were reportedly hit hard. Our thoughts are with their inhabitants.

It's now been three days since RIM's BlackBerry services went down, leaving users all over the world stranded without BlackBerry Messenger, email, and internet access. Despite promises on Tuesday that services were restored and working normally, millions of users have continued to report issues with their devices.
