Design Thinking ist ein Prozess der Schüler unterstützt Lernen zu gestalten, ihre Aufmerksamkeit auf sich und ihre Umgebung zu lenken und diese letztendlich selber aktiv mitzugestalten. Schüler engagieren sich mehr und erzielen eine höhere Lernleistung, wenn sich der Lernbezug auf reale Projekte und für sie relevante Situationen konzentriert.

Mit Startnext können Starter (Künstler, Musiker, Filmemacher, Designer, Fotografen, Autoren, Journalisten, ...) ihre Projekte durch viele einzelne Personen finanzieren lassen (Crowdfunding). Im Gegenzug bekommen die Supporter (Fans, Freunde, Bekannte, Familie, Firmen und Mäzene) vom Starter einzigartige Dankeschöns (Involvierung ins Projekt, Hintergrund-Informationen, Zusatzmaterial, persönlicher Kontakt), das fertige Produkt (exklusive oder limitierte Version) und das Erlebnis hautnah bei der Entstehung eines Projektes (Film, Musik, Buch, Grafik, Event, Fotos, Gemälde, Performance, ...) dabei zu sein. OpenMeetings is a free browser-based software that allows you to set up instantly a conference in the Web. You can use your microphone or webcam, share documents on a white board, share your screen or record meetings. It is available as hosted service or you download and install a package on your server with no limitations in usage or users.

When it comes to communication in the 21st century, email is NOT good enough. We need to encourage more educators to SHARE ideas, resources, and media using tools like Posterous! If you can send an email, you can use Posterous. Many messages we create still SHOULD be sent with a "one to one" or "one to a defined many" distribution, but many of our ideas CAN and SHOULD be shared with "an undefined many." When we share ideas in this way, there is NO LIMIT to the number of people who could theoretically encounter and be influenced by our ideas. That is VERY powerful! To do this, we need to post content online using a tool like Posterous.
