Gogol portrays the unfairness of the Russian Society through "The Overcoat." It criticizes the materialism through the tragic death of Akakiy Akakievitch, that people would literally die because of material things. It also talks a little bit about the social structure and cause&effect through the interaction of Akakiy Akakievitch and the important person. "The Overcoat" signifies the realization of social justice by the Russian people. I believe that Akakiy Akakievitch haunts St. Petersburg because it is his punishment for giving up his life for material gains in the underworld.

New Connections Choices Traps Decisions Existential Questions.

Most literatures I've read are philosophical debates in one form or another, "The Wall" expresses the randomness of the world, "No Exit" reflects on multiple topics including human nature, true evil. They all relate to existentialism, exploring our status to be. The videos have existentialism as a main topic as well, such as "Teenage Brain" makes people reflect on the importance of adolescent in the sense of learning and developing, "Little Boxes" and "Jelly Beans" have living as a major topic. The materials have not made me more reflective as to more confused, I am actively thinking more about those existentialistic questions because they do not provide definitive answers.

My favorite work I've read this year is the The Wall. It shines on the dark spanish civil war which I know little about, and my favorite part is the random twists throughout the story.

To me it was the Of Mice and Men 5 paragraph essay, it made me realize my potential as a writer and critical thinker.
I learned about how to manage a recitation performance, which is harder than I thought it would be.

That it needs to be very objective and straightforward. Through the process I also learned how to write a Work Cited page.

I developed my writing and problem solving skills through the 5 paragraph and type 3s, it took me a step further into the world of writing. Through the recitation of "Self Inquiry before a Job Interview," I learned to become a poet.

I need to work on my working, often I find it hard to concentrate and work on an assignment until it is absolutely due.

Ze Frank's video: Brain doesn't stop developing until mid-late 20s, which means that teenagers brains are not wired complete yet, and in turn results in improper mental process but also provides maximum creativity. Comparing to EQ2.0 which explains the way thoughts are processed, the signal travels through the limbic area before reaching the logic center frontal lobe, and it's likely that emotions will hijack logic at times. EQ skills allow a person, especially a teenager with a less developed brain, to process the information without the emotion taking over completely.

I have neither a Lennie nor a George at this school. I can think of but a few in my entire life. I have a dream to be somebody and a plan to chase the dream, but sadly no one here shares the same kind of dream with me at Hyde.

Day 3, this wretched planet is treating me no better than an insect. Everyone else onboard is dead up to this
point, I'm all alone here. Funny how everyone back on Kerbin called it the Blue Planet, right now all I see is a green forest surrounding me. When the space program first intercepted their communiqu, we were shocked by what we discovered. A small satellite containing information about this planet and its indigenous people, and a picture of it from space.

If they were even capable of forgetting a small part of their differences they might be able to find salvation, but instead they focus only on other's flaws and their own personalities. It was critical at the end when Inez insisted that Cradeau is always the coward due to his last acts, because if she was even able to let go of a tiny part of her cruel nature Cradeau would've have been making peace with himself. Then they would've been able to help each other to salvation ultimately. So yes, hell is other people, because with the right people they would be able to make you suffer for eternity with no escape.
