What I learned in english 11 and comparing stories and videos that we've seen and read. I've learned in both Emotional Intelegence 2.0 and the teenage brain that its okay to have big emotions in our period of time. we might think that in this moment right now that its really not ok and we can let ourselves down a lot very easily. but its all about growing up and becoming the person that you always want to be, and that is yourself. we all have had moments where we can't even handle ourselfs. we've had moments where everything is ok. though both of these, i've learned that you should try to check in with yourself. Were in the middle of devolpment in our bodies and at the same time we have so much stuff going on all the time in our lifes. for me personally, its helped me alot to just take a few minutes to clear my mind up and just try to plan what I want to happen each day. Sometimes it doesn't happen. But at least I really try to make things happen but our lifes is just so busy. take things one day at a time and don't overwhlem yourself with everything.

in Gogol's "Overcoat", Akaky takes revenge on the people in St. Petersburg for making fun of him by gost hunting them. He does them for selfish reasons. He purchases a new coat so he could try and make fun in a torturing way of the employees. Gogol shows a unique revenge on people in this story. He also combines elements of realism, fantacy, and comedy. Akaky is a person that gets easily personal with a lot of things and gets angry and upset easily. It criticizsim starts by the social realism and the continues as social protest on how Akaky is such a little man.

Zefranks video "The Teenage Brain' talks about how are brain still has a lot to devolop. As Teenagers, we can make some pretty dumb choices and mistakes. most of our brain is filled with so many emotions that its really hard to focas on serious things in life such as school work and just school in general. the good thing about our brain is that we can stay pretty active and we can have a lot of energy. In this kind of topic, EQ focases on self-management and social-management aspects. We have a lot of developing to do not in just our brains but in our intire body. we go through a lot of puberty and changes that we can't focas enough. we have very high tention span.

My favorite work was No Exit because I played Inez in the story and I had a lot of fun reading it out load. three cold-hearted souls are brought in the same room in hell and think that there was some mistake made. they thought that they would be tortured for enterinity, but instead they were put in some kind of fancy room.

Most meaningful was the Hikus and the short poems that we did because I found out that I can come up with some really good ideas on my writing.

What I learned from poetry out load is that when I really get into something I like, I go for it and give it all. I also learned that I can have a pretty big voice once I feel confedent enough to come and belt it out. I always have to practice.

From the 5 paragraph essays I've had a really hard time with this year. But i've learned on how to do FCA's and how to correct other peoples works that they've done.

I became a speaker by being confedent enough to show that I actually have a big voice by doing the Poetry Out Load and getting into class discustions.

I need to work on getting homework turned in on time in this particular class. I've mostly have had a hard time turning essays in. This spring semester hasn't been very good for me at all in this class. I have to work on planning my times wisely on different classes.

Montresors coat of arms I think to me is revenge. I've realized that in this story, he tries to go after people for what they do or did. the picture of the coat of arms is a golden foot crushing a snake that has its fangs in the heel of the foot. "Nemo me impune lacessit" in english means no one can punish me and can get away with it.

sammy quit his job because all he cared about was impressing the two girls in the store. he didn't care about anything else. he thought that his life wan't going anywheres so he just gave up. Another reason he quit was because of his boss, his boss had been mean to him since he started working there. he had nothing to lose.

This quote says that the world isn't fair, and it isn't fair for them to come this far enough and die. In the quote, it sounds like there mad and upset. people come or trie hard enough to get to something, and then all of the sudden, something bad happens and it never happens.

My first crush was a guy named Elijah Young. I started liking him in 2nd grade. he has blond hair and was kinda chubby. he would always chase me around during resess and we would play tag together with a bunch of people and he would always tag me. in 4th grade, i had a party at my house and he starting liking a girl that came to my party from school. I started getting really upset with her and I told her to back off from him. i was having a really big attitude about it. I eventually started crying to my parents and I told them that i wanted her to leave. after the party, she started hanging out with him 24/7 and then they eventually started dating. today me and him talk every now and then and we just look back at our elementary school years and laugh.
