Psychologically it is said that we have many social scripts, in other words we do not act the same exact way around our parents as we do our boss or our friends. Companies that use social media are attempting to view how you live your life outside of work, how you act out that social script. But why should that matter? Regardless if you put pictures of Saturday night drinking it does not mean that this who you are in the office, they are two completely different script and for the general population they are unrelated.

I think employers should look at social media networks, people should always present themselves in a professional look, because there behaviors affect the company, on the clock or off

A person is much, much more likely to be killed by a gun in the United States than in any of these other countries, and it isn't remotely close. The gun homicide rate in the United States was more than 25 times higher than in other high-income countries, according to a new study in the American Journal of Medicine that examined death rates per 100,000 people.

I do agree with the fact that people in america are more likely to be killed due to gun violence. But i think it is because our country is more privileged when it comes to even having access to them.

These is a great topic in my opinion. You hear so many people talk about how they have stop smoking to avoid getting sick in the future. I think its great that smoking is banned from many public places, because like they say second smoke has the same affect as if you where the smoker. I see that more and more people prefer non smoking hotel rooms, bars, restaurants etc its a better choose for are health. And like the article mentions of not hiring smokers.

The subject of the child obesity epidemic has been high in the last 4 years. Did the government have to right to force what is or isnt allowed to be served, sold, and purchased on school campuses? This artical has it all explained pretty well.

New York City Mayor is trying to ban sugar drinks that are larger than 16 ounces because it is one of the main causes of obesity. People argue that although they agree with the fact that soft drinks are indeed unhealthy, the government should protect the freedom of the people.

taking away the drinks are going too far but the idea is right, obesity is a huge problem in the US and although it is an argument of freedom to eat, drink etc whatever you may please but when it comes to health that is a whole differnt concern.

This article talks about all the benefits our country would have if we legalized all drugs like countries like Amsterdam does. It would get rid off all organized crime. It would prevent the spread of disease.Reduces violent crimes and theft. People are given clean needles and their doses are monitored. Statistics also show that people who live in this type of a society usually stop using the drug eventually.

This article is about families surviving on unemployment. President Obama signed a bill restoring unemployment benefits to over 2.5 million jobless Americans. The national unemployment level dropped slightly. The Wall Street Journal tells Americans that they should have 3 months salary saved up.
