A supermarket in Australia has stirred up some controversy over a job ad that specified that "no Indians or Asians" should apply. This online job advertisement was clear as day and people have become quite angry over it.

An article by the Wall Street Journal on how social media can and has effected peoples abilities to get jobs.

Psychologically it is said that we have many social scripts, in other words we do not act the same exact way around our parents as we do our boss or our friends. Companies that use social media are attempting to view how you live your life outside of work, how you act out that social script. But why should that matter? Regardless if you put pictures of Saturday night drinking it does not mean that this who you are in the office, they are two completely different script and for the general population they are unrelated.

I think employers should look at social media networks, people should always present themselves in a professional look, because there behaviors affect the company, on the clock or off

I love the New York Times, again this article is very imformative, it give information on illegal immigration. Somethings the article talks about is Mexican Immigration has declined, and if a illegal is caught speeding should they deported and a little bit about the background of illegal immigration.

The New Times really points out some great facts in this article. They show that immigration is a important issue that is going on with the U.S. today. It also shows how different things can be for immigrants depending on who is the new elected president. While Mitt Romney is taking the side that may be harder on illegal immigrants, Obama seems to welcoming people to run across the boarder. Michal Czerwonka for The New York Times may be more of a photographer than a writer but he really did a great job showing both sides views.

More and more employers are starting to make your personal Facebook information apart of the process in getting a job. The fact that there is personal information such as religion or sexual preferences may sway the employer to discriminate against a potential employee by making decisions based on the information. The question still lingers though, is this inquiry for your information legal?

This article is in favor of drug testing welfare applicants. This article is comparing the state assistance to a interview process of a job. If job applicants have to be drug tested then welfare applicants should be too.

This makes me wonder with all the technology out there to help law do there job, is it starting to over step our civil rights

Romney and Gingrich argue over illegal immigration. Romney wants the 11 million illegal immigrants that have jobs to go back to their country and let the legal Americans that need work to work. Gingrich agrees that something needs to be done with the immigration. Romney and Ginrich also argue over mortgages.

By granting Amnesty to 12 million Illegal Immigrants it will boast our economy by adding $329 billion to our nation. It would help create 1.4 million new jobs for our fellow American over the next few decades. thats pretty cool. I mean the way they are setting up "pathways" for these people to eventually be granted their citizenship or at lease temporary work authorizations in order to also help boost our economies currency.

This article talks about people not having jobs. This project allows people with disabilities to be able to join the work force again.

- Obamacare is still in its early stages and we have yet to see what it will do the job market in the long haul. The White House has pushed back the employer mandate that requires the employers that have 50-99 employees that care working full time to provide heath care coverage to them or have to pay a $2000 penalty. This could cause small businesses that make up a lot of the new jobs to hire less employees as the mandate goes in to play.

Major Mary Jennings Hegar had always dreamed of being an airforce pilot, and now that she is, she has faced discrimination because of the exclusionary policy. A policy that excludes women from doing certain jobs because they aren't seen as being capable of them. Women in the military are fighting everyday to get rid of these double standards.

I feel as though you should have to provide proof of citizenship when you show up to vote. Voting is a priveledge of American citizens and if your not a citizen you should not have the right to choose it leaders. Everyday you have people stealing social security numbers in order to get jobs so who is to say they are not voting as well?

written 9/12/11; The TSA has gotten bogged down with the business of searching people and have forgotten what their real job which is Security. They have wasted money and resource and haven detected any real threat to american security in over 10 years.

Short article...under the new "Obamacare" smokers may be forced to pay more for health care. Older smokers pay more while the younger generations pay less. Workers with health insurance through their job maybe able to avoid.

This article doesn't believe arming teachers or principles should be allowed.Guns should be in the hands of those in the position of protecting people. Teachers do not receive training on weapons and this isn't in there job description.

This article is about a bill passed by Michigan's House that requires welfare applicants to submit to drug testing in order to receive their benefits. One supporter of the bill said "Michigan residents can be expected to get drug tested when applying for a job. The same possibility should exist for welfare recipients as well, especially if there are children involved,".
