Arguments focusing on the personal rights and freedoms of drug users. Poses questions about if it is a person's right to decided what to put into thier body and if it is the same thing as a person's right to decide to participate in a dangerous sport or activity.

This was a really interesting article! I never would have thought to parallel drug use with sports. However, I guess it makes sense when you think about the amount of athletes who use steroids to boost their game.

Prostitution- Decriminalization vs. Legalization- what's the difference? - 0 views

  •
COYOTE's position on prostitution is that it should be decriminalized rather than legalized, for all private, consenting adult commercial sex. Any public activity (such as solicitation) can be regulated as other public activities are, and thus the concern over prostitution in one's neighborhood on the street is not a factor in decriminalization.

Minimum Legal Drinking Ages around the World - 0 views

  •
Although it is believed that you must be 21 to drink alcohol in the United States, this is not the case. You must be 21 to purchase or be in possession but drinking is a different issue. States can choose whether or not it is allowable for persons under the age of 21 to drink, like in Texas if your parent consents to you drinking and its on your property it is not against the law.

Buying drugs online : pharmaceutical roulette or consumer freedom? - 0 views

  •
I often think that individuals should have the freedom to self prescribe or have access to medication that doctors would prescribe without a prescription. This article from The Washington Post is an excellent reminder or why people should NOT have the freedom to buy dangerous drugs without doctor's consent. It gives examples of how online drug stores run their business using a middle man and a phone doctor to issue the medications. There is a story about one online pharmacy, run by an ex-felon, that went from filling 17 prescriptions in 6 months to over 1100 in a month. The author also mentions stories of indiviuals affected by this problem.
