MATH PRACTICE AND LEARNING PROGRAM - FREE FOR TEACHERS - 0 views

  •
TenMarks is the best math practice and learning program for grades 3-High School and as of today, it's FREE for teachers to use - in class or for their students to use at home. The TenMarks approach gives students a variety of problems on each topic, and ability to use hints if they need a little nudge, and immediate video lessons for them to refresh and learn the topic - on the spot. The end result - students refresh what they know and learn what they don't. Teachers choose their own curriculum (mapped to state standards), assign work to students, have it automatically graded immediately, review individual and class performance, and most importantly, take immediate action. TenMarks is super effective and real easy to use - it was designed with the help of math teachers across the country. What's more - it's FREE for the entire class! Check it out at http://www.tenmarks.com/teachers.

How To Effectively Convert Face-To-Face Instructor-Led Training Into Online Training - ... - 0 views

  •
We have been using the power of stories in professional learning for several years now. I am going to share a case study that highlights how we effectively converted face-to-face Instructor-Led Training (ILT) to online training learning using storytorial as our learning strategy. What is really interesting is that the aimed business gain that was evading us during the ILT training was met after we made this story based online conversion.

An Introduction to Design Thinking (Part 1) - 0 views

  •
'Design Thinking' might just be the next 'new' old thing in education. In her recent address to the National Press Club, Catherine Livingstone of The Business Council of Australia included 'Design Thinking' amongst the critical STEM skills required for Australia's future. But what do we mean by 'Design Thinking' and why should educators be interested?

Furthermore, that the book: "...seeks to address and answer some of the big questions of digitisation... It succeeds on many levels..." There are 22 contributors in the book, all experts in their fields. The book is divided into six parts: Part 1: 'Background and Overview to Digitisation and Digital Libraries' Part 2: 'Digitisation and Higher Education' Part 3: 'Digitisation and Inequalities' Part 4: 'Digital Libraries, Reference Services and Citation Indexing' Part 5: 'Digitisation of Rare, Valued and Scholarly Works' Part 6: 'Futuristic Developments of Digitisation' Topics covered include electronic theses, search engine technology, digitisation in Africa, citation indexing, reference services, the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition, new media and scholarly publishing. ReelSurfer | Make your video archive searchable, clippable and interactive - 0 views

  •
This is a potentially huge boost to any e-learning program that relies heavily on video lecture content.  We know that just watching a lecture is a dull chore (unless the lecturer is a master broadcaster).  We also know that shorter, on point clips from a lecture would be highly effective when presented in the context of meaningful response activities.  This is where reelsurfer might fit.  They promise to make your video library searchable and provide the tech to clip the elements you want to promote for study or for marketing.  Lots of built in links to social media make this easy.  30- Day free trial.  Could be a way to leverage a large archive of lecture tapes into something suitable for finely designed online learning.

» Blog Archive » From E-Learning to We-Learning - 15 views

  • Our research actually shows that the single biggest driver of success in today’s modern L&D world is culture.  No matter how well you design the programs, systems, and experiences – they only “stick” when the company itself values a continuous focus on organizational and individual learning.
