NASA calls for Citizen scientists to help map Mars and says that citizen scientists "have helped to answer serious scientific questions, provide vital data to the astronomical community, and have discovered thousands of objects including nebulas, supernovas and gamma ray bursts." It is time to join your classrooms into the citizen scientist movement. How would your students feel about science if they helped discover a star?

The principal objectives of the WDL are to: * Promote international and intercultural understanding; * Expand the volume and variety of cultural content on the Internet; * Provide resources for educators, scholars, and general audiences; * Build capacity in partner institutions to narrow the digital divide within and between countries.

It's about the learning not the tools, but how do we find the balance when helping teachers that are new to the tools?

The whitehouse.gov will look the same to most people except that what is behind it is part of the open source movement with the whitehouse code - now powered by Drupal -- is open source. For educators, if you've found administrators objecting to the open source movement, maybe you should consider using the white house as an example.

Our district switched to using Drupal for our site last spring. So glad 'others' are following our lead! :-)

A site that collects pop-culture video clips of single words which you type. Use it for an interesting twist to giving instructions or a learning objective.
