People can gain ideas, upload their videos for others, or receive teaching resources. Brief Explanation: Teacher Tube is a great website because it allows you to share information effectively and can be useful for others to review and receive your personal ideas and research.

* Brief description of Web site: A free tool that provides an online community for sharing instructional videos. Additionally, it is a site where teachers can post videos designed for students to view in order to learn a concept or skill. * Brief explanation of why you found this site to be better than others you found: This site is better than YouTube because it is strictly for educational purposes. Besides the fact that it is a free resources, users are able to view videos or upload videos to it.

TeacherTube is a video sharing website with the same features as YouTube, but for educators. Unfortunately, in many school districts by content filtering systems, YouTube has been blocked due to some of the content that can be accessed on the site. TeacherTube allows educators and students the ability to access various educational videos, documents, blogs, groups, photos, and audio to utilize and share in the classroom while at school. Many of these educational resources can be used as pre-training materials to a workshop, such as with my workshop on storytelling; I would show a short video about what PBL means as a means to introduce participants to the concept and to explain that they will be using PBL to design their own storytelling lesson. TeacherTube is much easier to access while at school than YouTube, which is why I feel TeacherTube is a better working tool for educators to use rather than attempting to access YouTube videos.

Brief Description: Slide Share is a website where an individual can upload and share their presentations, personal/professional videos, and documents (word and pdf). Information uploaded can be shared with everyone on the website or restrictions (limited viewers) can be placed on your information. Brief Explanation: Slide Share is a good presentation website because your information can be categorized, receive feedback, and is easy to use. Also a key plus for this website is that it is free.

Slideshare - Slideshare is a website that allows users to upload various types of presentations: documents, presentations, and professional videos. I like this site because it attempts to keep non-professional data off , unlike sites such as You Tube that is for general use. Setting up an account is easy and the basic membership is free, which is always nice.

SlideShare is a tool that allows users to upload presentations or videos they have created to be shared with others. This site also allows users to search for presentations and videos on topics of interest. Having used this tool before, I have found it easy to use and can see how it might be used to share any presentations or videos created for the workshop with staff who were unable to attend or with a much broader audience. 

The Moodle CMS will assume a central position in my workshop. One objective is to have participants learn CMS functionalities. The workshop project will require that participants set up a course on Moodle. The workshop will be delivered through my own Moodle setup. In addition to the many other features, Gradebook, for purposes of assessment, will also be highlighted. I will use my Moodle to collect participant work through the Dropbox feature, evaluate the work, and grade the projects through Gradebook.

This site could be used in a number of ways, depending on the purpose and the needs of the audience. I am using it as a pre-training tool to provide some background for the purpose of the workshop.

This is a free visual thesaurus that offers various uses. I am using this as a way to introduce concepts being taught in the workshop and will encourage the participants to make their own.

* Brief Description:  Edmodo is a suite of tools that allows for threaded discussions, quizzes, assignments, and more that is specifically designed for education.     * Brief Explanation: My workshop is based on instructing the participants how to use Edmodo in the classroom.  An appropriate authentic assessment would have them creating their own material in Edmodo.          

This website allows the individuals to take a virtual tour of the actual website which will be used in the workshop to create their classroom wiki.

This website shows how to create a customized organized chart in Microsoft Word 2007. The verbal directions that correlate with the visual modeling foster generative processing of essential information. In addition, workshop participants may wish to personalize or modify graphic organizers to fit within their individual classrooms.

Edmodo will be used during the class to give the participants a hands-on approach to learning the tool. Participants will be engaged on a behavioral and cognitive level using this tool during the workshop as they begin to learn the different features of Edmodo. They will see how to set up a class, create assignments and quizzes through Edmodo, manage a gradebook and calendar, share documents and links, discover resources and apps, connect with other educators, as well as connect with parents. Edmodo also has training resources available that will be utilized during the workshop.

This will be a 5-hour hands-on workshop for a professional conference to look at digital e-textile creating to develop collaboration, decision making, and social change learning skills. The delivery will incorporate a multimedia approach to learning based on the 12 design principles developed by Dr. Richard Mayer. Topic Digital e-textile creating connects STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) curricula through an art. Learner engagement/motivation is driven by individual customization of technology through personalization of fashion.
