An interesting infographic on the "history" of the Flipped Classroom and some results, (read the comment stream for further discussion especially re history).

I recently wrote two articles about the growth of cloud computing: The Perfect Storm for Cloud Computing, and Enough Already! Cloud Computing Is Here to Stay. Both articles were written with the intention of concreting the fact that businesses and IT professionals need to begin, now, to develop their cloud strategy. The articles, read by over 23,000 people at the time of this writing, opened a floodgate of comments about the security concerns of cloud computing. So now I am going to address the truths, the untruths, and the fuzzy truths of security in the cloud.

We got so many additions and updates to our 2011 list we thought it was time to bring you the most up-to-date list for 2012. So, without further ado, here's the 2012 A-Z list of educational Twitter hashtags. We went through all the comments on the 2011 version, wrote down all the Twitter and Facebook updates, and compiled this list over the course of several months. What follows is our best effort to bring you the biggest and baddest list of hashtags.

An online pinboard to share text or image notes and comments

A great post by Chris Wejr in regards to providing time for teachers to tinker. Going beyond the PLC model, Wejr discusses how he provided his staff with time where they were released from class to go and tinker and explore.

"The Google Drive team said today that it is rolling out an activity stream to help you monitor changes to your files and folders. A new ⓘ button that appears at the top right corner of the screen gives you access to the stream, which notes actions taken on files and folders in your Drive, and who took them. Edits, comments, new files, changed file names and more will all now appear inside the stream."

A fantastic list of apps for iPads in edu. On this page, we are showcasing Apple Apps which can help educators with teaching and learning activities, as recommended by various educators within the #UKEdchat forum. The latest app to make news, Yik Yak allows users to comment anonymously-because you know, who needs to take responsibility for their words, right? To go with my comments on other blogs and tweeters - infographic lacks any educational content about the application of these tools with students or teachers - this is just lazy blogging to get people to the site. Lift your game.

An interesting post be 'edmerger' on 'being' yourself online, rather than someone else's agenda. I agree with the basic principle of the piece, but feel that it is also slightly too simple. Whether we admit it or not, post comments and links can be considered as some kind of digital branding. We are branding ourselves whether we mean to or not. I think if you try too hard, then that is the issue, not necessarily branding itself.
