Findery is a community site on which anyone can share a short story about any location on the globe. Findery uses Google Maps as its base so in a way it is really just a public, collaborative Google Map. To make a contribution to Findery just sign-in, pick a location, and start typing your story. Your story can also include pictures and video clips. You can make your stories public or private on Findery.

Presefy is a new service that you can use to share your presentations to your students' mobile devices. Through Presefy you can control your slides from your computer or from the browser in your iPad, iPhone, Android phone, or any other mobile device that has a web browser.  When you advance the slides in your presentation the slides also advance on your students' mobile devices. Your students can take notes as they follow along with your slides.

"I confess!  I'm a Flipboard flip-a-holic. I wasn't always this way.  I originally hated Flipbaord and found the magazine style layout cluttered. Life has changed and Flipboard is now the most used app on my tablet. And since I wrote my post on Google Reader replacements, I've had a lot of people ask me what benefits I gain using Flipboard that they missed! So I've put together this information to help you get started using Flipboard or get more out of using Flipboard."

Flipboard has announced a new feature for its popular app for iOS that lets users co-curate magazines. Starting today, Flipboard curators can invite others to contribute to their magazines. So if there are people who share your passions or have expertise about your topic of interest, invite a bunch of your friends to be co-curators. Once they accept, they'll be able to easily flip content into the magazine via the + button on Flipboard and the "Flip It" Web bookmarklet. The magazine will be added to their dashboard, as well.

My teachers love this app. We have students also use it for social learning. Recording alternatives to poor behavioral choices. Very interesting to watch a student's thoughts emerge one stroke and recording at a time.
