Welcome to the new iSchool series - the iSchool crew. Check out my Podcast Producer's first go at doing their own podcast -Edtechcrew style. Found it very difficult but very rewarding. Basic concept is trying to give kids a voice for their honest feedback on th good and bad aspects of technology, and how it is being used in the classroom. Kids collaborate on a Google Doc to make show notes, and upload links to website. Planning to share Google Doc or create a Diigo/Delicious account so other kids at school can all have an input - much like is done here with Diigo. First episode, so be nice! Click on the link to read more of this type of stuf.... "We must give a big thanks and hello to Tony and Darrel from the EdTechCrew podcast, who are enthusiastic educators sharing their knowledge of technology. They have inspired us to try something from the kids' perspective. You know the old saying, 'Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.'"

"As people share more information about themselves online, the internet, in effect, has created a public transcript of consciousness -- storing our thoughts, locations, social lives and memories in data warehouses all over the world. This has enabled technological advances and shaped our social interactions. It's also really freaked some people out. "

The 'Art Project' is a "unique collaboration with some of the world's most acclaimed art museums to enable people to discover and view more than a thousand artworks online in extraordinary detail. * Explore museums with Street View technology: virtually move around the museum's galleries, selecting works of art that interest you, navigate though interactive floor plans and learn more about the museum and you explore. * Artwork View: discover featured artworks at high resolution and use the custom viewer to zoom into paintings. Expanding the info panel allows you to read more about an artwork, find more works by that artist and watch related YouTube videos. * Create your own collection: the 'Create an Artwork Collection' feature allows you to save specific views of any of the 1000+ artworks and build your own personalised collection. How To Embed Practically Anything On Your Blog or Website - 3 views

  •
A post from Mashable. People want the hands-down, easiest way to embed practically things onto their blog or website. nThere are many7 tools to help you do that. "The nature of the web is such that sharing and republishing content is common - and often even encouraged. The problem is, we increasingly store bits of our data on various services scattered across the web. Aggregating that content into one centralized personal hub can be time consuming - requiring user to manually copy text and links or upload files and photos - or fiddling with RSS feeds trying to make content automagically appear"

Add Pictures to Your Audio Recordings with Snoozerr - 8 views

  •
"At first Snozerr looks like most audio recorders, until you notice the button for the camera. This app gives you the ability to take photos while recording audio; each picture is timestamped to the point in the recording where the photo was taken, and you can easily synchronize the images with the audio for later playback. This combination of features makes Snozerr an ideal app for students recording lectures and workers recording presentations with lots of infographics. You can use the timestamped photos to target the interesting parts of the lecture and ignore the non-relevant parts. All of the voice and photo files created in one session are linked together, so it is easy to share content with your peers. The app also supports nested hierarchical organization, dual cameras, and sending files by email."
