I think the lesson plans offered on this site are excellent. Even if you just use them as the basis for your own lesson, they are really comprehensive and interesting.

Current events news quizzes could be a lot of fun for a civics class!

You could do this word of the day exercise using any newspaper. I love the idea of finding a specific word in a newspaper!

I LOVE the idea of having my class read about an issue and then write letters to the editor. Reading comprehension, current events, communications, writing, constructing a logical argument, and civic engagement - all in one lesson!

The New York Times has a blog full of lesson plans related to news content in their paper. It's an incredibly rich website, full of ideas for tons of different kind of lesson plans - current events, journalism/writing, civics, international events, and many, many more. This is the kind of website you can visit as a teacher to get ideas or have your students use as part of a class project.

This site has some great games for grammar practice. It helps with writing, tenses, pronouns, and more.

5 Favorite and Least Favorite Sites - 12 views

I find it fascinating that many of your peers have swip/swapped the sites that you've chosen (i.e. some have said that ones you listed are good as bad). Just interesting!

I like how you bring in "authenticity" when rating your websites. :)

As several people have said, wikipages is not a good website to use. The information is not coming from an authorized source and so there is no guarantee that it is accurate. I do not allow my physics students to use this as a source when writing background for a lab report.

Lots of information, but no guarantee of source.

Since anyone can post on wikipages, there is no guarantee that the pages are correct.

This is the first time that I have seen any of these sites. Some are interesting but I see where they need improvement.
