This was a little more difficult, because nothing came to mind when I first thought about it. However, I took a good amount of time to look through search engines and see what kind of websites are out there in order to get a feel for what I liked and did not like. This is what I found.
http://thestorystarter.com/ This is one of the links provided by the creative writer link that I enjoy. For some reason I have come to hate these tacky kind of websites. Stories take immense creativity and this website doesn't necessarily offer support or information on what writing really can mean and be. http://www.4teachers.org/ The site contains a lot of the things that I really enjoy. They're very clear about their purpose and the site is simplified, but there are simply too many pop-ups and annoying things happening on the screen when you visit. It's hard to look around and peruse the site when you have so many distractions involved. I feel this would have to be the case of a site getting popular and giving way to advertisements and gimmicks. http://www.newcurriculum.com/index.php This was a site suggested to me a while ago and that I favorite/bookmarked when I first became interested in teaching. However, since then it has become outdated and doesn't have enough content to be feasible. http://teacher2b.com/ Simply too basic and lacking in credentials. The design itself seems to give us the feel that it isn't authentic. http://www.theonion.com/ Advertisements, distractions, lack of authenticity.
I'm still not sure how to use Diigo's annotation features. Trying to figure it out, but I wanted to get my favorites/least favorites on the table before I leave for the weekend.
