Blog on early education policy by the New America Foundation. According to their website, Early Education Watch "provides analysis, reporting, and commentary on early education, with a focus on policies that affect children's access to high-quality, aligned educational programs from ages 3 through 8. I haven't explored the blog well enough yet to see whether it contains information about technology and young children, but it's a good example of using technology to connect early childhood educators with public policy.

Kerpoof is all about having fun, discovering things, and being creative. Use kerpoof to make artwork, make an animated movie, make a printed card, t-shirt, or mug, tell a story, make a drawing, etc!!!

Kerpoof Studio is a website for children to create books, cards, drawings, movies, or a picture. It is sponsored by the Walt Disney Company, but is not Disney themed. It is easy to navigate and very child friendly.

This website is a really awesome website to share photos, and it is free (you also have the option to subscribe). You have the ability to upload and share videos, photos, and slide shows etc. I think it would be cool to use in a classroom to show photos of the kids and their activities to the parents!

This is a social platform site that allows teachers to share files and other information with their students and parents. This site is similar to Twitter, but more focused on catering to teachers and its use in the classroom.

With this site you can paint, draw, edit photos, put artwork on your blog or website using the art player, and create graffiti. There are activities that children of all ages can take part in, but this site would seem to benefit older children more than younger children. However, younger children could paint and draw on this site. This site is easy to navigate and it's free.

This is a great tool for collaborating when creating documents or projects. It combines email, text, voice messages, calendar, and storing and editing files in one safe place. It is easy and simple to use. Many of the features are designed to be self-explanatory. It is also safe and private. Nobody can join a group unless invited or given permission.

Free collaboration/networking tool

The National Association for the Education of Young Children Technology & Young Children Interest Forum has a website with information about their projects, and a link collection with information on "Tech with Children", "Tech Tools for Educators", "Tech at Home" and Research.

"The site will provide digital content tied to curriculum standards and will be available in both a free and premium format." Interesting to see how they are organizing digital content to make it easy to access...

From rethinking the educational process/Mass Customized Learning, providing examples such as using QR codes to individualize learning in K (video on how listed), data and information about the use of iPads in K/1st grade in Auburn schools and hearing middle school students tweeting about each of the sessions and sharing their perspective on what they have learned doing so-this event provided lots to think about.
