very cool way to learn and study vocabulary words.....

This website is very creative and fun. However, I do not think it is appropriate for early childhood education. The vocabulary is way too advanced for this age group. Also, while the pictures and videos are funny many of them are inappropriate for children. It is definitely a website for older, more mature students.

Recently learned about this new web-based tool and have tried out the feature which makes it very easy to send a video message by email. I am also interested to test out the chat feature, which would allow a group of people to hold a videochat (up to 20, according to the website), to see how well this works. If it works well, it could be used in many ways, to support meetings and collaborative work.

The idea of this website is a great one--it allows you to create animations and work off of ones created by others. Creating animations is made very easy with DoInk. By being able to see the work of others, it's a good way to get ideas and inspiration. I think that children could have a lot of fun with this; however, the content of the site isn't very appropriate for young children in that some of the animations posted by others may be disturbing for them. There is even a minimum age of 13 to be able to use it. If DoInk were to make a kid-friendly site with this same idea, I think it would be a lot of fun. It's very interactive and allows for an endless amount of creativity and expression. It could be a great website for children to work on by themselves, with friends, or even family members. Once an animation is complete, it can be posted anywhere on the web. This would be great for a classroom blog or to share with family members.

This site is great for young children who are learning to use the computer. On this site there is online coloring, print-and-play activities, and storybook creations. This site is easy to navigate, it's child-friendly, and it's free. Everything on this site is about Dr. Seuss and there are things for parents as well. I really like this site!

This site is used to create images/text using Word Mosaic, Flower Text, Sketchpad, and Poetry Blender. You can also edit photos and add special frmaes aroudn photos. Photo and video editing can be done on this site as well. I enjoyed this site and it's easy to use. Many topics can be covered using this site, however, only some of the functions are appropriate for young children.

Floorplanner is a resource that I discovered in my EDIT 2000 class and have used numerous times since then. It is an interior design software that helps create layouts and floorplans, as the name might suggest. What does this have to do with education, right? My original use for it was to create my ideal classroom in the land of unlimited resources. If I wanted to, I could go back in and create a more realistic classroom so I could visually lay out how I wanted to conserve my space. This tool would be useful for anyone trying to visually plan out how to lay out a space, whether it be a classroom, bedroom, hospital room, cafeteria, etc. This resource taught me a lot about classroom layout and the way to make a classroom more efficient and user-friendly, which is huge in any educational setting.

This site is child-friendly and would be great for making your own website. It is easy to use, and it gives you many ways to create a unique, colorful, and educational website. There are many examples of websites that can be viewed as well.

This looks like a wonderful website! The design layout was very clear to understand, and there are so many options (personal, business, etc.) I liked that there were websites to view, because I am not a very creative person, and I need a little help occasionally! :)

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well. I tried to send the plan through the Listserv and I'm not sure if everyone was able to get it. Please follow this link to see a draft of the Tech on Deck plan for the Orlando conference. Last week, I had the pleasure to speak with Stephanie Olmore, director of NAEYC quality enhancement initiatives, regarding "Grandes Comienzo, Futuros Brillantes and the Tech on Deck. She mentioned that NAEYC is exploring to do things differently for the Orlando conference and that they would love to hear from us about how we can make Tech on Deck an event within the conference. I asked her about the possibility of getting donations though NAEYC that are designated to cover the cost of Tech on Deck and she said that this might be doable as they are exploring different things. She said that her team will start having conversations in January and that it will be helpful to have our proposal by then. I would like to have your feedback on the draft plan by December 27. Guiding questions/items: Venue (a room, exhibit hall, throughout the conference) Possible donors Possible speakers Who will or can staff this (volunteers, school, university in Orlando)? Let the discussion begin!

Site for sharing ideas, photos, stories. Anyone can access the blogsite, like any other website. Comments can be made on the blogs by the viewers. This tool allows the creator to personalize the page with themes and gadgets. This site could be used by teachers within the classroom for older students to do writing projects. Blogger could also be used as a parent/teacher collaboration tool in early childhood settings.

Fun and easy to use and customize. Good tool for education/classroom blogging.

This site was really easy to set up, but I've had a hard time using it to search for and follow other applicable blogs. Any suggestions?
