From rethinking the educational process/Mass Customized Learning, providing examples such as using QR codes to individualize learning in K (video on how listed), data and information about the use of iPads in K/1st grade in Auburn schools and hearing middle school students tweeting about each of the sessions and sharing their perspective on what they have learned doing so-this event provided lots to think about. Not so much tech (email communication between parents is actually discouraged), but interesting to those engaged in PreK. Alternative settings for education.

Until now, there have only been a few broad-brush reports that lump 'technology' into single or narrow categories that don't provide the specifics needed to inform early education directors' decision-making. Some existing studies about young children and technology are focused on technology or television use at home. Other surveys focused on educational technology in K-12 classrooms. This study isolates classroom use of interactive technology tools.

This can provide young children with a creative opportunity to express their thoughts and ideas and through the web parents can easily access this journal.

This blog is written by an early childhood teacher out of Florida. She uses this to update her parents and communicate with them about what is going on in the classroom. She posts entries here and there and also uploads pictures to share, which offers a balanced view of the classroom. She has it organized by recent posts, where parents can click on the title and also by categories. Additionally she has a bar on the side of her page which offers great websites and resources that parents can access.

Scholastic website is well-organized and has good resources available. One can sort online learning activities by age level, including Pre K-K activities. The blog appears to be the same as Christina's Classroom (Christian Germano).

Thousands of articles, videos, slide shows, expert interviews, blog entries, and other resources highlight success stories in K-12 education. Core concepts include integrated studies, project learning, technology integration, teacher development, social and emotional learning, and assessment.

The ePals Global Learning community is a very useful networking, and collaborative tool. I found it very easy to use. It is easy to sign up and free to use. I have had no problems using this website.
