Women in Egypt continue to fight for their rights. They continue to be abused even with laws that aim to protect them. 

What does the term "human shield" mean? The term is used by critics of Hamas to imply that Hamas militants hide behind unwilling hostages, or especially that they cower behind women and children. If it's a fact that Hamas uses "human shields," who they are, what they're protecting, and why seem to be more salient points for analysis.

The Egyptian parliament decided to criminalize FGM. The Child Protection Committee is now in charge of helping girls who are at risk of FGM. 

There are over nine million migrant workers in Saudi Arabia who need to protect their rights. King Abdullah gave the migrant worker to correct their immigration status, also to fixed their legal document. It was way of achieving human rights and a way of giving new opportunity for migrant worker.

While in previous years there had been no actual direct political censorship, publishers would attempt both religious and moral censorship as a means to protect people. While the article does discuss that there will always be censorship, they also look forward to a culture that values art and reading that will change the perspective of the culture.

In Egypt, university students have gathered together against the coup forces to protest and make clear their determination to protect their rights. University students against the coup have joined together to lead a series of protest. The article makes clear that the Students Against the coup, do not seek to instigate violence, but will use self-defense if needed which is rightly justified in accordance to religion and  international law . 

A London rapper identified as a possible suspect for "Jihadi John", the masked Isil executioner, appeared in a television news report during the 2011 London riots, breaking into a live interview to lambast the police. "The police are protecting the police," he says. "They're not protecting the people."

This article states that if Bashar al Assad's use of chemical weapons in a suburb is true then why isn't the United States acting to protect the Syrian civilians. This article, contrary to the one I posted earlier, says that Syria is legally at fault in regards to chemical warfare because they signed the Geneva Convention.

After January 14, 2011 the issue of equality between men and women rose. Later in 2014, Article 46 of the new Constitution guaranteed equality between the sexes and highlighted the principle of parity. "The state is committed to protecting the acquired rights of women. It supports and works to improve them..."

The first blog post currently on the page is about a television interview with a man with extreme views on this law. He went as far as to say that not allowing women to drive is to protect them from the possibility of being raped if their car ever broke down.
