These resources are fairly diverse in their content and have a lot to offer. Some are category-specific, and others are downright unique. No matter what, they can all bring creative visual enhancements to many a student project.

By giving students an idea of what it is like to walk in someone else's shoes, all literature that deals with big ideas and emotions is good for teaching empathy. Still, I have found a few types of stories that I go to when I really want to get my students working to think about how other people live.

Just imagine your favourite genre was created in the world it describes… What would it look like? What would it be made out of, and who or what created it? What ingredients would make up the ink, paper, and binding? Computers intersect with every aspect of kids' lives, but most kids don't understand how they work.
