Not sure it's the most impressive site I've seen for vocabulary instruction, but it is an alternative if you are looking. Primarily focuses on drill and practice, but using the engagement factor might help students stay with it short term.

Online games. I played a couple of the math games.Again primarily drill and practice but it pits you against an opponent so +s and -s.

"Knowtes is a flashcard-based learning community." Students can design their own flashcards routine. I like this spin on the drill and practice idea for several reasons: I can customize how I interact with the material and MOST importantly of all I can create my own flashcards. I think the creation of the flashcards is critical for a number of reasons.

"What is Soshiku? Soshiku is a simple but powerful tool that manages your high school or college assignments. Soshiku keeps track of when your assignments are due and can even notify you via email or SMS. " Another shot at a management tool (I personally need as many as I can get my hands on!)

Now we are talking not only an organization tool but a creativity tool. In the process or organzing my materials, I'm creating those connections and webbing of links to where and why I post material in multiple places (3 ring binder tabs). I like it. I also like that it's drag and drop. I need to play some more with this one!

Nice organization tool for sign ups. I think it has the potential to help teachers organize students who are signing up for activities/field trips. But will districts take electronic signatures for permission slips?

School to teacher to home to student communication tool as well as information sharing, storage. I don't like the layout of the site, but the concept is good.

s a software tool for detecting equations and hidden mathematical relationships in your data. Its primary goal is to identify the simplest mathematical formulas which could describe the underlying mechanisms that produced the data. Eureqa is free to download and use.

Lapham's Quarterly, A Magazine of history and ideas. Great social studies source. I like the Friends, Lovers, and Family story/chart that shows the relationships between different artists across time. Always looking for ways to show how what one person does impacts others and not just in art! 

Online spreadsheet tool. Always worth sharing. Decent graphics tools, but not as intuitive or as easy as Excel. If you don't have access to Excel, not a bad alternative. 

Keep this article close by, so when you need it, it will be available. I wouldn't be able to memorize all of the information, but when I am working on or in anyone of these products the cheat sheet would be a valuable resource for expanding my shortcut repertoire!
