Staking out claim to coining the real purpose for Google Glasses

I've just  "discovered" Tumblr  - not as a blogging platform but as a means for posting the best in rich media while still staying within copyright.  Which has prompted me to rebuild my Look to Learn site from Wordpress onto Tumblr.  I still use Wordpress for lots of things, but when trying to promote a culture of critical and creative thinking, I'm hooked on Tumblr -- see: http://tommarch.tumblr.com

I designed this more than 15 years ago and amazingly it is the most trafficked link on my sites. This javascript gives students writing 5 paragraph persuasive essays a jumpstart on their thesis statements and outline.

In the context of helping parents with children who have personal access to the Net, I would hope that parents use a Big Mother, not Big Brother, approach.

Good example of the kinds of adjustments "basic parents" make as we learn about making guidelines for technology use with children and teens. Key quote, I think: "Let them know there are rules. There comes a time when parents have to be parents."

We always hear about invasion of digital privacy, but loss of data here has altered a life negatively. Similarly, those with complex medical histories advocate for better data integration. It's important to understand the importance of data as well as privacy to people's lives.

"If you don't have it, just forget it!" Wang Jindong, now 27, said of his file. "No matter how capable you are, they will not hire you. Their first reaction is that you are a crook."
