I'm always frustrated with sites that say they have free images and then link to a bunch more sites that say and do the same thing. Here are 7 sites to find photos and images that are copyright-free or friendly, in addition to Flickr. Do you remember how to search using Creative Commons??

When I took online classes, doing projects in teams was one of the things I liked least - at the beginning - but after having done some projects that were well-structured, I have to say that those were the learning experiences where I learned the most.

This is a function that I always thought was lacking in PBworks (compared to Wikispaces, for example) - now they are recommending this app as an add-in. Only a PBworks admin can add this however - you need to click the "Allow javascript" button. This page has screenshot instructions, if you're not sure how to add it. HOWEVER - I haven't been able to get it to work, yet... I don't know if it's a login problem or what. It shows up in the wiki page, but I can't add anything to the discussion.

This is terrific, Marlene. I intend to look into this Blog for my Action Research project for the IBSC (International Boys' Schools Coalition) I am part of. I am supposed to work all year long on my action and report on my findings next summer at the annual gathering in London (We are a team of 16 language teachers from all over). Your summer institute has been a wake up call for me in so many senses!! Also, thanks for inviting me to join this group!

Point/Counterpoint - a discussion on "is technology killing critical-thinking skills?" I think they're coming from the same point of view, but expressing it differently. A lot of frustration with internet filters...

We can continue a discussion here in the Diigo group about articles, tools, or whatever the group finds and bookmarks. You can also put "sticky notes" right on the article page itself - no one but the logged-in group members can actually see the notes. This is one way we can keep the "group momentum" going after the institute ends. Add your thoughts!
