Sure. It is a great resource Mark. I reviewed the one in Spanish and even though could be not useful for my students, I will keep it for when teaching Spanish to parents.

A subset of blogs on Edutopia dealing solely with issues/activities/debates about the world languages classroom. This site provides thoughtful blogs on everything from technology, to methodological debates, to specific activities, all centered on world languages.

Relevant comments, ideas and even strategies.  Very useful. 

I like Edutopia because it provides great information and ideas about teaching in the 21st century.

A good reminder to allow time for processing during PD presentations -

Of all the blogs I've seen, Edutopia consistently has the most useful advice to give. I may not be in total agreement with all of it, but it is reliable and grounded.

They're fine...but huge to implement on a consistent basis: by 'huge' I mean both in terms of time, and space - to get one's head around them all conceptually. And it can also be a challenge for students to buy into the responsibility for their own leaning. HTML...yes, sometimes, in designing activities writhing my LMS. Blogging...no! Takes too much thought and self- confidence! Tweeting...yes! I love passing on items that have been helpful to me. And yes...II guess tweeting is providing glimpses of great PD resources. Now all I have to do is to go back to them in more depth.

This blog has information not only on practical things, such as how to use VoiceThread, but also on how to create community in online courses. Seems interesting so far.

The importance of focusing on "Why technology should be used?" instead of only "How to use technology?" is emphasized - indeed an important aspect teachers should not overlook.

I agree that we need to really access why we want to use technology. Is it really the best option all of the time? I love the checklist of questions one should ask him/herself before deciding to use the technology. I, especially, thought the question "Will students control the technology?. Sometimes, I need to remember that spending hours creating a great powerpoint presentation isn't as great as finding a way for students to engage in an interaction rather than passively listen to a lecture.

Directions for using Posterous - lots of possibilities where you can have students post things by attaching and sending to an email, and it collects them all so all can see/hear.

Wetoku is a web service or Web 2.0 tool out of Korea that provides a simple platform for interviewing someone via the Internet. Collaborating globally is a must for our students and as result interviewing can be a challenge. Wetoku makes doing an interview as easy as filling out some basic information, creating an interview session and then sending the creative interview session's URL to the interviewee. Once the recording is done, the interviewer can embed the copy of the URL into a blog or website. You will need a web-cam for this tool.
