"How I Beat Post-Partum Depression with Physical Fitness!" | BlogHer - 0 views

  •
Meet Krystal Monisera, 29, a Jupiter, Florida mom who navigated her way out of a severe post-partum abyss through physical fitness. Right after Krystal's second child was born, the young mother of two recalls that a "scary" depression began to overtake her. Knowing that depression ran in her family and unsure of her next steps, Krystal was fortunate to discover weight training and physical fitness, which she says "jolted me out of the fog of post-partum depression." Now she wants to spread the message to other new moms experiencing the baby blues and significant post-partum depression. "I was fortunate because some of my girlfriends who were also new moms suggested we all get into physical fitness and begin working out together as a group." Krystal claims that if it hadn't been for her friends pushing her to join them in the gym, she doesn't know what would have become of her emotional state at that time. The women began a CrossFit regimen and Krystal noticed that her depression began to lift, sans any medical intervention.

Should Twitter Verify Celebrity Accounts? - 0 views

  •
The Dalai Lama joined Twitter this weekend, or so it seemed. At least, the Office of His Holiness The Dalai Lama was apparently making use of the messaging service under the username @ohhdl. Or was it?The account was promoting the official Dalai Lama website, and responding respectfully to inquiries. The story spread rapidly on blogs and - of course - on Twitter. At its peak, the account surpassed 16,000 followers.

21 Ways Websites Communicate with Visitors | Vandelay Website Design - 0 views

  •
One of the most important responsibilities of a website is to communicate with its visitors. Regardless of whether the site is a blog, a portfolio site, a corporate site, or an e-commerce site, it exists to communicate with visitors. The communication in some cases is two ways (blog comments are an example), but in many ways the website is communicating to visitors before they even offer their feedback. In order for the site to communicate effectively the designer and site owner need to clear purpose of what messages should be evident to visitors. In my opinion, improving the communication is an ongoing process. As I evaluate my own sites, or those of clients, these are some of the factors that I consider.

Friendfeed: The Little Engine that Could - 0 views

Friendfeed's launch of realtime services has set off a serious horse race on the micromessaging platform. While the New York Times contrasts Twitter and Yammer as eyeballs versus revenue, or consumer v. enterprise, Friendfeed finds itself positioned as an attractive candidate for building scoped message hubs without an IT oversight requirement.

Email Marketing Tips - Edition 13 - E-Biz Booster Blog - 0 views

  •
Welcome to the thirteenth edition of email marketing tips on November 10, 2008. This week's edition comes to you two days early. Better than late,… What do you think? My favorite article this week has been written by Yaro Starak, who explains to us how he profited big time from better targeting the message to his readers. Improving the conversion rate of your email campaigns is almost like free money. It's amazing, but over time you can give yourself a great pay raise. One that your boss - if you still have a boss - could and would never give you.

200+ Internet Marketing Gurus on Twitter - 0 views

  •
The twitter train is pulling up, are you on board yet? Twitter is one of the most revolutionary messaging systems to come out in my opinion since AOL Instant Messenger back in 1997. It allows groups of users to simultaneously engage in conversations all at the same time, similar to being in a "chat room" in AOL. As a marketer this can be a golden tool if utilized properly for personal reputation management reasons.

Free Online Reputation Management Beginner's Guide - 0 views

  •
:: Looking for detailed online reputation management services? Contact Andy or buy his new book: Radically Transparent: Monitoring and Managing Reputations Online ::. Every single day, someone, somewhere is discussing something important to your business; your brand, your executives, your competitors, your industry. Are they hyping-up your company, building buzz for your products? Or, are they criticizing your service, complaining to others about your new product launch? A great brand can take months, if not years, and millions of dollars to build. It should be the thing you hold most precious. It can be destroyed in hours by a blogger upset with your company. A new product launch could take hundreds of TV commercials, dozens of newspaper ads, and an expensive ad agency. It can also spread like a virus with the praise of just one customer, at one message board.
