So you just signed up for Twitter. You make your first tweet and you realize you don't have any followers. "What a dumb idea!" You say. "Who the hell would be interested in what I'm doing anyway?" Don't worry. You're normal. That is a sign that you are a Twitter beginner. A lot of us Twitter users (or addicts) went through the same questioning routine. And look at us now. We're geeks who are on Twitter all day and night and we can't stop tweeting.

Last week we reported that Twitter has plans to press for funds at a $1 Billion valuation. This is now no longer a rumor with WSJ confirming the case. It was reported that "investors are valuing Twitter, which has yet to generate revenue or finalize its plans for making money, at about $1 billion. A person familiar with the deal said investors are applying a similar value to Twitter as that applied to Facebook…"

There are many ways to update our Twitter profile and today, it just got more convenient as Twitter is now integrated with MySpace, AIM, Bebo, and AOL.com. We really can't deny the fact that businesses are testing out Twitter as part of their steps into the social media landscape.
