A hypothesis should be written before the actual experiment. A good hypothesis should be a testable statement which includes a prediction. Also hypothesis should not be confused with theory. A formalized hypothesis are written like this: "If ______ is related to _______ , then ________". Testable hypothesis means it must be testable, repeatable, have clear cut results which can be used to prove or disprove a hypothesis, and at last, it should reduce the amount of error by eliminating variables.
