I'm particularly interested in this because I'm going to be starting a small record label with some friends this summer, and while we can predict the profitability of a certain distribution medium from a consumer's point of view, having the data laid out like this is very helpful.

I was always curious about it. The article was written in 2010 so I think musicians must earn more than in 2010.
