    Through vision, leadership, and service, the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) works to integrate arts and culture in all aspects of community life. RACC serves the Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Region, including Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties.RACC provides grants for artists, nonprofit organizations and schools; manages an internationally acclaimed public art program; raises money and awareness for the arts through workplace giving; convenes forums, networking events and other community gatherings; provides workshops and other forms of technical assistance for artists; and oversees a program to integrate arts and culture into the standard curriculum in public schools throughout the region through "The Right Brain Initiative.

    Take Back the Night is an international event during which survivors of sexual violence and their allies have an opportunity to rally together to protest continued sexual violence in their communities and around the world. Take Back the Night is a survivor-centered event that begins with a rally and march and ends with a speak-out, during which survivors of sexual assault and their allies can share personal stories of how sexual violence has impacted their lives.Come and support your friends, neighbors, community-members, and loved ones as we work to end sexual violence and celebrate the individual and collective strength of survivors.

Oakland Art Murmur - First Friday / Saturday Stroll Art Walks - 0 views

    Non-profit supporting art and cultural venues dedicated to increasing popular awareness of, and participation in, the arts of Oakland. My sister currently attends the University of California, Berkeley and says this is a really cool event! It is held on he first Friday of every month and is a great way to bring the Bay area community together through arts. There are also events held of Saturdays that are pretty cool to check out as well.
