Creating a Platform Application - Facebook Developer Wiki - 0 views

  •
"This guide shows you how to configure the settings and integration points for a Facebook Platform application and configure your host server. It does not discuss the actual development of your application. You can find the code for some sample applications on the Facebook Developer website. You can create an application in minutes using the code for a basic Facebook application in the Developer application (follow the example code link). Follow the sections in this guide to create a Facebook application. The essential steps are: * Preparing yourself and your server. * Adding the Facebook Developer application to your Facebook account. * Setting up your application on Facebook. * Developing your application (beyond the scope of this document). * Managing your application. Seam Framework - JBoss Seam - 0 views

  •
"The Seam Framework - Next generation enterprise Java development Seam is a powerful open source development platform for building rich Internet applications in Java. Seam has been designed from the ground up to eliminate complexity at both architecture and API levels. Welcome to RIAForge - 0 views

"Open Source projects built on Adobe technology Welcome to our online community site, built using our own products and targeted to support developers building open source projects for our products and platform. Now you can integrate existing or new open source projects in a centralized repository with simple functions and options. This site provides a consolidated hosting environment that transcends tools, geographies and functional teams and enables more efficient use of your time and resources. As the world becomes a truly collaborative development environment with open borders between heterogeneous tools and platforms, the use of tools like this needs to remain free of charge. So that's what we have done. Developers can freely create accounts and define new projects. Projects created here must be and will be open source, and will not be owned by Adobe. The exact open source license used for each project is up to the project lead, and must be clearly stated in the project description. "

  •
Since 2004, Technorati has been tracking the Blogosphere through our State of the Blogosphere study. The goal of the study is to create a complete snapshot of the activities and interactions that make up the Blogosphere by asking you, the bloggers, to share some information about your habits. The survey includes questions like how, when and why you blog. Is this a side business, full time job or something you do for fun?

Canvas Tutorial - Introduction - 0 views

  •
Welcome! In this tutorial, we're going to create a breakout clone that you can play in your browser, using javascript and the element. In order to use this tutorial, you'll need to have a relatively recent version of Firefox, Safari, or Opera. You cannot use Internet Explorer, because Microsoft hss decided not to implement the element in it. Before you read any further, click on the "run code" button on the left to play the game that we'll end up creating. On every page, you'll be able to click the "run code" button to run the code we've developed so far. Every page besides this one has an editor in it containing the javascript code that will be run in the same box as the game as soon as you click the button. You can make changes to the code, and see the results instantly by clicking the "run code" button. In order to make our lives easier, I've included the jQuery framework in every page, which extends javascript in your browser with some useful methods. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to leave a comment on the "comments" tab.

There are plenty of times when you want to see something closer, to get a good look at the texture of a sculpture, or find out if that's a reflection or a scratch on that used car you're looking at. Seadragon, implemented as the Deep Zoom feature of Silverlight, allows you to do that. But what if you're not using the Silverlight platform? That's what Seadragon Ajax is for. Seadragon Ajax, written from the ground up in JavaScript, gives you the ability to add a Deep Zoom viewer into your blog, web site, or even your eBay listing. Just like this

The news follows word that Google would be pulling out of print advertising as well, which was announced less than a month ago.

Obama to use executive orders for immediate impact - Yahoo! News - 0 views

  •
Obama was elected on a promise of change, but the nature of the job makes it difficult for presidents to do much that has an immediate impact on the lives of average people. Congress plans to take up a second economic aid plan before year's end - an effort Obama supports. But it could be months or longer before taxpayers see the effect.
