'Stupid not to think Atletico can win La Liga' - 0 views

  •
Atletico are level at the top with champions Barca on 46 points with just under half the season played, with Real five further back in third. With La Liga's leading marksman Diego Costa in scintillating form, the capital's second club are in a strong position to match Valencia's feat from 2004 of denying Spain's wealthy big two the domestic title.

Vendors: Can You Prove Your HIPAA Compliance? - 1 views

  • HHS estimates 1 to 2 million new BAs will need to become compliant.  HHS also states that if a BA agreement exists they expect the BA to be compliant with the terms of their agreements, now.  No waiting periods, no grace periods, be compliant, now.

  • The next big challenge for both CEs and BAs is proving compliance.  There is no third party with authority to certify or accredit for HIPAA HITECH.  The BA needs to prove their compliance in order to get and keep their business relationships in healthcare.

  • At a glance the CE can see whether the BA is compliant and if necessary drill down to view their policies, procedures, forms, and determine whether they have completed all of their assigned tasks.  The Helper assigned to the account also provides oversight.
  •
"If the recent rules proposed by HHS go through as expected a CE is responsible for their business associates (BA) and the BAs and their subcontractors are required to be HIPAA HITECH compliant, Many of these BAs and sub-contractors who also become BAs have never heard of HIPAA HITECH."

Welcome to Web 3.0 - 1 views

  • The Web 1.0 concept was simple: web pages linking to web pages. Then came Web 2.0 - a powerful movement from web pages to web applications. Web 2.0 applications have evolved into often slick viewports into proprietary or personal collections of information. This means they still primarily house data in silos inaccessible to and disconnected from the larger world, and most importantly, from each other. But as we approach 2009, the clear outlines of the new web are forming. Some call this next generation the Semantic Web, but we think that term is confining, and so, instead, we refer to it as simply Web 3.0. The new web is moving beyond connecting pages to interconnecting data objects, concepts, and things. Ultimately Web 3.0 is really about creating technology that more accurately mirrors how we see and think about the world around us.

Best unobtrusive anti-spam technique (Not CAPTCHA) | Urbano's Blog - 0 views

  •
I know you are probably thinking that this will be some silly thing, but this idea that Thomas Landauer came up with is by far the best I've seen in a long time. Add CSS-hidden fields that a user won't see, but a spam-bot will fill. Then using php check if they were filled, and if they were: block the spammer!

What do you want from Social Media? | Social Media Trader - 0 views

  • Everyone is doing it Wrong answer. Look, do not get social media confused with social networks such as Facebook or social news sites such as Digg. Social media is essentially a platform for communication. Whatever the technology, or means, communication is the outcome. Every company can benefit from communicating a valuable message. Although many companies dabble in social media, a large percentage are simple wasting their time. You must know what you want to achieve from social media to form a good strategy to achieve it.

ProgrammableWeb: Web 2.0 Mashup Matrix - 1 views

  •
An experimental matrix of Web 2.0 mashups.
Usage: Hover the cursor over any cell in the matrix. A small box gives details on mashups for that API combination. Top links in hover box bring you to that API's reference page. Links in body of hover box take you directly to the mashup. Not all combinations have mashups & only those with the 'º' indicator currently have entries. Cells at the intersection of same API (ex: Amazon+Amazon) list any other examples for that API.

Note that there are two views into the matrix: the default view shows only those APIs for which mashups have been added to the database. The second view shows all APIs regardless of whether there's currently a mashup registered. It's big. Definitions: What is a mashup anyway? As always, it's good to check Wikipedia's definition, but essentially a "mashup" is a web-based application built through (creative) combination of data from multiple sources. Often, but by no means always, this data is retrieved by using a vendor's API such as those listed here. (An API? Also at Wikipedia.) Some recent press may also help explain: BusinessWeek's "Mix, Match and Mutate", The Economist's "Mashing the Web". Background: This is an experiment. It is intended to be both a reference point and also a visualization. What you see here today will change both in content and form shortly. I am quite interested in seeing the 'space' in which mashups exist. Clearly, some APIs such as Google Maps, appear to be more widely used than others. UI Issues: Cross-browser support is good but not complete. Sometimes it can b
