iSheetMusic for iOS: Reading Music Just Got Easier - 3 views

  •
"It's a sheet music reader for the iPad. The app is free and comes with a few classic song sheets (Amazing Grace, Take Me Out to the Ball game, etc.) but every other song you'll have to buy in their small but growing collection. Sadly, you can't upload any sheets on your own, you'll have to rely on their store. What's great is that the app has a built in metronome (audible or visual) so you can keep your tempo right and see where you are in the piece. Also great: automatic page turning as the app will flip the page once you reach the end of the previous one."

interactive-notebooks - home - 0 views

The purpose of the interactive notebook is to enable students to be creative, independent thinkers and writers. Interactive notebooks are used for class notes as well as for other activities where the student will be asked to express his/her own ideas and process the information presented in class. Requirements vary from teacher to teacher and is set up according to the directions of the teacher. Some go left/right, others go right/left, and still others go sequential. It really does not matter, so keep that in mind when looking at the suggestions. The purpose of this page to give teachers a starting point for setting up their own notebooks with their classes. The links presented on this page were shared by teachers on T-Net, A to Z, and Pro-Teacher , and of course, TCI, the originators of the Interactive Student Notebook, as examples of good interactive notebooks and guidelines. Credit belongs to the creators of the individual sites. I have tried to divide the sites by subject categories, but many are inter-changable.

TraceBullet.com - Everything And All Things! - 6 views

From Make.Use.Of.com: TraceBullet is a must bookmark website for webmasters. It combines 6 different net testing tools (Hostname to IP Check, Port Check, Ping Request, Page Contents Check, Sent Headers Check, WHOIS Check) and provides quick access to all on one page. This is much better then having a bunch of bookmarks with sites scattered around the web.

his page is the entry page of the OOo4Kids. The idea is to provide a 7-12 years software, based on OpenOffice.org source code, say, extremely simplified. Everything is made with the idea to contribute back to OpenOffice.org Project, through OpenOffice.org Education Project, and students projects, but not only (all sort of contributions are welcome, of course). Resources are managed by the EducOOo non profit association.

Apple's Official Guide To Teaching With Apps - 3 views

  •
"This may be news to you (it was to us), but Apple has a guide for teaching with apps. Called "Using iOS Apps for Teaching & Learning," it's 8 pages long and really, honestly isn't as self-embracing and superificial as you'd expect. Of course, it's only 8 pages and acts more as an overview than the book, PD, and years of experience it actually requires to get it just right. But it does hit some high notes, encouraging teachers to consider 5 factors that actually work pretty well as a checklist when choosing the next app for your classroom."

Free Background Music around the Web | Longzijun - 4 views

"This page lists different sites where you find and download free background music for your videos, presentations, websites or other multimedia projects. There are quite a few composers and musicians willing to let you use their music for free, especially for non-commercial purposes. It is important to distinguish between (1) music that you actually use for free and (2) music that is royalty-free (which means you can use the music but you have to pay a one-off licensing fee) and (3) music that you can download for free but that requires an annual licensing fee if you want to use it in your video (e.g., the deceptively named Freeplay Music offers this type). This page focuses on the first type and includes five sections."

"I have come across a lot of posts with resources to free images and find them fascinating. Then I forget where they heck they are and even if I find them it takes way too long! So, I decided to put together a Symbaloo page to make it accessible to me immediately. If you're not using Symbaloo you should seriously consider giving it a try. It's a great way to find and share resources fast! At the end of the post I've included a short video on Symbaloo. So below is my new Symbaloo Images page. Hopefully you'll be able to find the image you need!"

5 Things You Did Not Know About Google Forms | Teacher Tech - 3 views

  •
"Google Forms allows you to create pages so that all of the questions are not all on one screen. In some circumstances the questions do not apply for every student. If students answer no they are not participating in a sport the section of questions about which sports the student participates in can be skipped. If you are using a Google Form as a formative assessment quiz you can direct students to a page with instruction on the topic if they get the question wrong or go to the next question if they get the question correct."

  •
Have you ever tried to use Google's search engine and found that the results were not relevant? There are a few reasons for this. One of them is the fact that Google does not like when businesses buy positive reviews, so it will try and penalise those pages that have bought their reviews by prioritising other pages higher in its rankings and putting theirs lower down on its list of results.
