groups.diigo.com group tag dictionary inconsistency suggestion

    I thought I had set a group tag dictionary - I am the group owner, and have created 10 tags, and chosen the option to 'Use a pre-defined group tag dictionary as recommended tags'. However, when I or other group members bookmark sites, the group tag dictionary is not showing - only the Diigo recommended tags. What am I doing wrong?

    {;s tell us what your group URL / Name. Is it a public / private group? If a private group, would you either open up as a public, or invite me in to take a look? Feel free to email us privately to provide us the detailed info.

    Has there been any resolution to this problem? I am having problems getting this to work as well. I am anxious to showcase this feature to some colleagues this week so any help would be appreciated.

    NOTE: I've since discovered that I have some success in FireFox but not IE 6. Is this a known limitation? Also, what is the limit of tags that can be defined using this GUI?

    Many thanks
    Rob

    Hi rob,
    I am sorry this feature seems only available in Firefox. However, we will add IE support later. Could you check it with firefox and diigo firefox toolbar? You can demo it with firefox toolbar.

    BTW, there is almost no limit for group tag dictionary.

    I have what may be the same problem, or some other complication, with my group tag dictionary for CENTRIM - a private group.

    Using Diigo toolbar 3.1.6.2 with Firefox 3.0.3 on Mac OS X 10.5.5.

    A few pre-defined tags, some of which are multiple words.

    For any bookmark - even bookmarks that do already have tags - when I click 'Edit', the dialogue:

    * omits all existing tags

    * presents 'no_tag'

    and of greater concern:

    * if I enter a tag (in lieu of no_tag) then click Submit, it effectively overwrites (loses) whatever tags may have existed beforehand.

    To clarify: what I described in my previous post is _in addition (coincidental)_ to the symptoms described by Erin and Rob.

    I will look into the problem you described.

    That particular symptom is no longer evident.

    I'm reviewing this behaviour. Might it be timing-related?

    Postscript: http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/bug-diigo-ttw-edit-bookmark-save-edit-bookmark-dialogue-re-presents-pre-edition-data-8800 is hopefully a refined expression of the issue.
