fair enough. still pining after it. A second post to another service can't be that bad, esp since that's what you're prob doing with the diigolet to diigo.
as far as a safari plugin goes, even a simple SIMBL extension would be fine, w/o the toolbar (see DeliciousSafari), could be an interim stage.
Thanks.

While we won't completely rule out the development, please also understand that it takes tremendous effort to develop and do ongoing support for a new browser platform. We're quite busy completely re-designing really awesome next generation toolbars / brand new diigo platform. With limited resources and bandwidth, highest priorities first :-)
Just tried it out in safari and ff, can't seem to find the save elsewhere feature. Is there a setting or param I need to set?
thanks...

I've had that set for a while, I used the feature with the regular plugin. Still don't see the "save elsewhere" checkbox anywhere in the diigolet popup.
Yes, I didn't see it either. But, it worked anyway. I do have the toolbar on my home machine set to save elsewhere. Here at work all I have is the diigolet and it also defaulted to saving to del.icio.us.

It doesn't always work (most of the time it does). I end up checking each time to make sure it saved. Some visual notification similar to the toolbar would be cool, like a "saving to to diigo", followed by "bookmarked elsewhere" status message, if the network is wonky you'd know to wait a bit.
a save elsewhere checkbox
if we're getting fancy, use google gears/html5 client side storage to cache/store the bookmarking, so even if I navigate away, it'll save the bookmark everywhere asynchronously.
well, that, or a diigo plugin for safari...

Looking forward to the next version. Until then, I'll be back diigo.

Next version Diigolet will provide description which can be saved to del.icio.us also.
thanks...
