This is a website that gives Teachers the opportunity to stay in contact with their students parents as well as the students through creating their on message boards that include things such as upcoming events, attendance, homework assignments, posting daily notes, but a teacher could put just about anything they want on their board. This website I believe could be a huge help with parents who like to keep up with what their children are doing in the classroom, and with this site the teacher can keep everyone informed at all times because their eBoard can be updated everyday.

The website I found relating to Standard 6.7 covers a wide variety of topics and tools that educators can use. As stated in 6.7, this website gives instruction and examples for databases and spreadsheets. It has several links relating to these two topics. I see myself using this website in the future and hope everyone else is able to get some use out of it as well.

Assignaday is very iseful for teachers as well as students. It meets the requirements because a teacher can create a class calendar that the students and parents can view. This allows easy communication between teachers, students, and parents because it allows all individuals to view the required assignments and know the due dates. There are no surprises!

Shutterfly.com is a website where teachers can create their own personalized classroom website for free. Teachers can use their own website to post pictures of their students so the parent feels part of their day, as well as posting homework and important dates for parents and students to refer too.

Standard 6.7 This site is one for any grade level of teaching. It has compiled thousands of free worksheets that are relevant in k-12 Education. It is in its early stages of organizing all of the sites within the database, but it has managed to keep a very clear license agreement making all of the worksheets and resources that are found on the site Free of Charge!!! New ideas, games, worksheets, and quiz material are all easily found with a user friendly navigation of the site, and the material is in PDF format, as well as Doc. format, therefore it is easy to find any material that can be used for lessons year round. This is a great site for kids/students of all ages. It is for primary student research but also has a section for parents and teachers. For teachers it has downloadable and printable material and other recommended websites.

This site is great for different grade levels. Awesome Library organizes 37,000 carefully reviewed resources, including the top 5 percent for teachers, students, parents, and librarians. It includes a search engine.

This website allows for teachers to post grades, attendance, assignments, and an assignment calendar for students and their parents. It also allows the teacher to easily create seating charts, instantly send alerts to parents via email or text, and it allows for the data to be exported to Excel if needed. I see this as a great tool for teachers to communicate to one another grades in other classes as well. This is a database of useful websites for teachers of all areas. Active links take you directly to a website of the topic of your choice. This website stood out for me mainly because of the large volume of websites categorized for easy navigation.

Education.com is an education and child development site for parents, but can be very useful for teachers as well. It has grade specific information for all grades such as social, emotional, and academic development for the children, and it has links to worksheets and activities.

Dogpile.com makes searching the Web easy, it is very similar to Google, however it removes duplications of sources and gives the most relevant results on researched topics. There are also useful videos you can view if you learn better that way.
