Mimio is a company that makes interactive technologies for the classroom. The interactive whiteboard is similar to a smartboard except it just attaches to the teachers exisiting whiteboard magnetically. Students or teachers can use the pens to write on the board and control the computer screen by using the whiteboard. Mimio also makes a reading tutorial called MimioSprout. This helps children from kindergarten to second grade with reading. This website meets standard 6.1 because it allows students to use interactive technology in the classroom. It also allows students to further their education while playing games and doing activities on Mimio Sprout. The white board would allow teachers to use technology in a positive way to have students interact during a lesson instead of just listening to the teacher. With the interactive white board, students can get up and interact with the teacher and their peers.

I chose Microsoft Mouse Mischief because it is interactive. It allows the teacher and students to interact with the lesson and eachother and makes learning fun and easy. There is something for teacher and student. It is a program that allows teachers to make PowerPoints interactive by asking question and with wireless mouses students select answers. It also shows the teacher which students or groups of students answered correctly or incorrectly. My standard is 6.1, which states that candidates intergrate instructional technology to facilitate learning in the classroom to supplement instructional strategies, to design instructional materials, and to enhance hands-on expierences and problem solving. I believe that this program is great for this standard. It is hands-on, interactive, uses technology, and ask the students for problem solving and quick thinking. This website also provides teachers with access to lesson plans and teaching tips on how to teach students, Teachers also get access to information about the importance and saftey of internet access and different ways to include instructional technology into the classroom such as YouTube.Gamequarium is an educational website that supplements the instruction of both teachers and students via hands-on technology.

Interactive learning Sites for the Classroom. This is a great way to get children involved in classroom interaction. This is a fun website with many different games and such. It almost like a big video game on the computer for learning all different subjects.

I felt like this website met the standards of 6.1. This is a great resource for teachers and parents who are teaching math or science. There are a variety of lesson plans as well as interactive "gizmos" that will help students learn. Students can do the interactive portion and then be asked to complete the lesson plan. It's such a helpful site that will benefit the students and teachers.

ABC ya! is a great website to incorporate technology in your classroom. This website includes fun games and enrichment activities for Elementary schools Kindergarten through fifth grade. After a student has completed their assignment, they can log on to this site and do grade based activities that are fun and educational. All of these games are free to play.

ABCYa.com is an interactive children's website, loaded with fun games and activities to help children learn and practice reading, math, grammar, spelling, history, geography and more. This site is free and there are tons of games to choose from, and you choose the grade level to play them at. At the end of each game the easy to read results give you a clear understanding of how you did in the game and where you need more practice at. I will be introducing this site to my own children, and will incorporate it into my classroom for my students as well. I highly recommend this site.

This website is primarily based with interactive activities for high school students. It has a lot of information and interactive ways in which the students can view it. It is a Historical based website that would be very useful for high school history teachers. This will facilitate the use of Standard 6.1 because it allows teachers to facilitate learning in their classrooms and to enhance hands-on-experiences and problem solving.

Start interacting in a shared outline with group members on the web. It makes for hassle-free group meetings! This meets standard 6.4 because this site will change the way we interact with group members and collaborate as a class.

My favorite subject is math so I choose this website so teachers could explore fun games to let the students interact with. The website can also link up with other websites to get more fun math games. They have printable worksheets and much more. I like it because some parts are free, however some links cost money. Even though some of it did cost money I feel as a future teacher it will be well worth the money to be a member of some of the educational sites avaliable.

Quizlet is a website that allows the teacher and students to study topics via quizzes, flash cards, etc.

Quizlet is an online learning tool for students and teachers that lets the user study a variety of subjects for free. It allows teachers to create quizzes and practice questions for their students based upon the material being taught in class. Students can then go online and take these quizzes or complete these practice questions to study. Quizlet can be used both inside and outside of the classroom and provides both teachers and students with a fun and interactive method of integrating technology into learning.

Professor Garfield is an interactive website that I found surfing the internet. Is a website exploding with creativity, videos, games, comics, books, and music! Teachers even have a Teachers Lounge that they can visit. It meets standard 6.8 because of the different uses of technology through the items listed above, all while making sure that they are things that are interactive and fun for kids to participate in.

I was able to do all the kid activities and the teacher activities without signing up at all. I am pretty sure anyone can do any of it.

Do you want a fun way to mold a student's brain with through some fundamental creative games? These games deal with basics of poetry,sentence structure, and reading skills for grades k-2. If you ever had some extra time at the end of class or during an "inside recess day," these would be something the students would enjoy. My standard for this website is standard 6.1. The point of this standard is to to bring interactive technologies and hands on experiences into the classroom.This website is a good example for the standard 6.1 for primary reading and english teachers.
