I decided to use www.deepspacesparkle.com as my website of the day because this site is an excellent resource for K- 6th grade art teachers. The lessons are simple and easily understood.

One of the best websites I found while researching Standard 6.4 was the National Education Association's Lesson Plan site. The site focuses on lesson planning and provides teachers with a number of strategies for whatever topic they need. Not only does the NEA provide ideas for lesson plans, but they also offer different strategies and support for inside the classroom. Even better- it's free! There is no sign up or membership requirements. This is an excellent site to advance a teacher's own learning process and update their educational practice.

This website is an excellent resource for educators to reference when teaching their class about safe web-surfing practices, copyright laws, etc. Teachers can also find a detailed description of what "technology ethics" means, why schools need to teach it, and the most effective ways to do it. Teachers also have access to a list of books and articles, as well as handouts for instructor and student use. The author also gives an example of guidelines regarding technology use that all schools should adopt.

The Smithsonian Education page is an excellent place for both teachers and students. Teachers have the opportunity to explore their topics in depth and even be provided with their state standards and lesson plans, while students are provided with fun activities.

This is a website that gives Teachers the opportunity to stay in contact with their students parents as well as the students through creating their on message boards that include things such as upcoming events, attendance, homework assignments, posting daily notes, but a teacher could put just about anything they want on their board. This website I believe could be a huge help with parents who like to keep up with what their children are doing in the classroom, and with this site the teacher can keep everyone informed at all times because their eBoard can be updated everyday.

The site also provides sources for acquiring the supplies needed to conduct the experiments along with simple but detailed instructions. It will also provide the teacher or the students with the significance of the experiment giving the whole experience a higher interest factor.
