The NAEA is great website that expands your knowledge about an art education career and a great example of the standard 6.4: Candidates use technology in their own learning process and to change their current educational practice. It provides learning opportunities for current and future art educators to expand their knowledge and to better their classroom. The community part of the website allows art educators from all over the USA to share ideas and strategies for their classroom. There are also grants and opportunities for students and teachers to earn money or more knowledge about art education. The learning tab gives lesson plan ideas. Last, the best part about this website is that it helps you start your career by finding a job.  

I chose this website because I think it is a great tool for students, teachers, and parents. It collects all recent and popular sites that are useful to a range of people. I found it very neat to be able to go to one site to find what is new and current, so it would make it easy to stay familiar with new websites of today. It meets standard 6.4 because I think this will help teachers and students change their current educational practice or just use this as additional material.

There are various games on this website to help the children with each subject. The teachers have their own center. This is a fun website for children to learn and have fun at the same time. I look forward to sharing this with everyone. I hope this will help all the future teachers and current teachers!

This website offers teachers, parents and students resources for use in the classroom and at home. Resources include lesson plans, strategy guides, activities and more. 6.4 Candidate use technology in their own learning process and to change their current educational practice. I believe this website met the 6.4 standard because it educates teachers on innovative ways to set up lessons and activities in the classroom. This website also offers teachers educational websites which show them how to incorporate technology into their lessons.

Teachers Social Network (TSN) has the same concept as the ever popular Facebook. Teachers can create a free account, and begin chatting with other professionals about important issues or ask for help concerning a certain lesson plan. This website meets standard 6.4 because the information one obtains from chatting with other teachers is integrating technology into his/hers own learning process and is very likely to influence their teaching habits or change their current educational practices. Overall, this website is a good tool to get ideas and answers from fellow teachers.

This website is called Grade Speed, and it is a website tool for teachers, parents, and students. Grade speed is a great way for parents to stay on topr of their children's education. It is also a great way for parents, and teachers to stay interacted with each other. In grade Speed the student's report card is available, assignments, and current grades to assignments. The website is only used in Nashville public school for right now, but Grade Speed is working hard to get the program used world wide.

Standard 6.4: Candidates use technology in their own learning process and to change their current educational practice. This website allows students to play online math games, view presentations, download flashcards, and use math in real-life scenarios.

Excellent site demonstrating elementary school science experiments. Experiments are age and grade appropriate and entertaining. The site also provides sources for acquiring the supplies needed to conduct the experiments along with simple but detailed instructions. It will also provide the teacher or the students with the significance of the experiment giving the whole experience a higher interest factor.

6.4 Candidates use technology in their own learning process and to change their current educational practice. The Library of Congress Online offers a Teacher's Resource page that provides self-paced modules for professional development with completion certificate awarded, links to classroom materials that meet the educational standards of each state, lesson plans, a blog for teachers, and much more. I recommend completing the Introduction to the Library of Congress Module under Professional Development as a starting point.

I have played a game in every category and I believe this website would be very beneificial to children who get bored easy during class. Not only are they having fun but they are learning while they do it!

This site has links specific to teaching history, social studies, geography. It has links to lesson plans, current news portals, research content, interactive time lines and most anything to do with teaching history. Endless resources for teachers and students alike. There is also a link available to send suggestions and was featured by the New York Times.
