Mayans Upset at Blame for 2012. - 0 views

  •
As I was searching for blogs about the 2012 Apocalypse, this site showed up. In this article, the Mayans are being blamed for "making the world end." There is no reason for the Mayans to be blamed for killing the human race and the world itself because all they did was prophesize and write down theories. In my opinion, don't hate one human race for killing the world that has already been to blame. At least this is what I am getting from the title itself.

What I noticed about, " Radio ... - Google Docs - 0 views

What I noticed about," Radio Rookies" is that it's very creative. I like the way Helen Peng, Andrea Lee Torres, Melissa Best and Alexis Gordon did this presentation. I like the way they made it fun and in the same time they made it very interesting. I really like the way they described the Steam Buns. I was very surprised the way they try to make it also. I like the way they made it though. It end it up coming the same way they make it in Main Street. And even though they may not be healthy, I mean lets face it it's really good. When Alexis said: "that it was very fun and easy doing this Steam Buns things" I really like the motivation because it shows how positive they were. I think that when they started talking about the guy in Main Street who was known as the Pimp. I was very surprised because I didn't know he died. Which was very surprising. I really like the way they worked as a team work and the way they understood their task. They all worked together and had a good presentation. I really like the way they all worked out perfectly. And the way they organize their ideas. To be honest it was a good job.

Girls accept gun running and rape as price of joining violent male gangs - Times Online - 3 views

  •
I'm learning more about gangs right now, and in particular what i am wondering is: Why do teenage girls want to join gangs? I was researching online, and this new item caught my attention because I myself hate gangs and the thought of a young girl interacting with gangs i wrong. She gave up her childhood just to be cool. "Teenage girls wanting to join violent male gangs are being forced into having sex and ferrying guns, knives and drugs, police and charities have found." Young teenage girls want to join gangs for what and at what cost? These days girls and boys would do anything to be down with the people. Today's world is going crazy, Kids needs to stop trying to be down and finish school. I think this is all pointless because all gangs are good for is learning how to shoot and kill someone. That is what you wanna do then you join the army.
  •
Well, I'm not saying that I like the situation, but instead that the article caught my interests. I never would have thought girls would join gangs especially for a silly reason such as protection. It makes me disgusted knowing that the gangs take advantage of them and treat them like the inferior group even when they are transporting their guns and supplies. Disturbing!

2012: NASA's Scientific Reality Check | Universe Today - 0 views

I'm learning more about 2012 right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is: Should we as a society, put our beliefs into Mayan predictions, or should we believe Scientists just because they have information to back up their facts?I was researching this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because it speaks about the reality of science and whether or not we should believe in it. It also speaks about the Mayan calender. This specific source sparked my interest because lately, with Hollywood coming out with new movies about 2012, the thought of the world coming to end has constantly been bothering me. I had a strong urge to find out the truth. "The Mayan calendar does not end in December 2012. Just as the calendar you have on your kitchen wall does not cease to exist after December 31, the Mayan calendar does not cease to exist on December 21, 2012. This date is the end of the Mayan long-count period, but then - just as your calendar begins again on January 1 - another long-count period begins for the Mayan calendar." The quote I chose here basically tries to persuade us by saying that the Mayan Calender ending on the year 2012 is a hoax. The author of this posts believes that even after the calender ends, just like any of the calenders that we have at home, it will start itself new again. I think this is very captivating because it makes me really wonder. It makes me wonder about all remarks people are making, what society thinks about this, and if there are any evidence that are being hidden from society. I hope as we go further into the years, scientists will dig out more information to support the theory so when the day comes, I won't have to hide under my bed and panic.

Forget 2012, THIS Is What The Mayans Should Be Remembered For | Astroengine.com - 0 views

  •
It seems as if people are using the Mayan's predictions as an excuse to declare the end of the world, which is on December 21, 2012. Lately, I've been doing a lot of research on 2012, after watching the movie, and what I've dug out was that the Mayans didn't say anything about the end of the world. Their predictions simply stated that it December 21, 2012 was the end of their calender. The Mayans, who have been accurate in their past predictions, believe strongly on the the worlds cycle. They beileve that just like any other calender, after one ends, another begins. Society has been brain washed by media's attempt to brain wash us by using Mayan predictions and scrambling them up to scare us. I'm actually very glad that I did research, or else I would've fallen into the same category as everyone else.

FREE SPIRIT: SCHIZOPHRENIC YOU? - 0 views

Everyone has different personalities from each other. Some people are outgoing, while some people are shy. I think gregarious people always like to hang out with a large group so that they are usually afraid of loneliness, while shy or introverted people usually are affected less by loneliness. Moreover, what I'm wondering particularly is whether it's normal that a person has a double personality. One sentence that stood out for me in this blog was: "We all have both, the Devil and the God within us.the frustration that builds up, brings out the devil in you. He is the one who makes you unhappy, feel alone, lonely and tells you how sad a person you are. That is the time you feel the need of " a someone" to talk to, to shout at, to get your frustration out…then you try to look back in time ….happier times….sad times…time spent…life lived …which makes you sulk even more. On the other hand, the God within makes you a confident cool dude…be a charming person, people enjoy your company at the time you are smiling, making others smile…you are vibrant with positive energy. The God within makes you feel good about yourself, be at peace with the world around, the work you do in the day, enjoy the daily routine…spend the day without a fuss, any argument …and in the end, gift you a night, well slept." Thus, I believe that everyone has a double personality and sometimes it really affected our daily lives. Some people have told me that I'm very capricious and I also feel the same way actually. I can be very hilarious for a moment and become very impassive in another minute. I was definitely not as impassive as I look at that time and I absolutely don't have emotional problems, yet sometimes it just makes me look really whimsical. Perhaps it's just one of my personalities.

Search for Missing Metallica Fan Morgan Harrington Nets No Clues - Noisecreep - 0 views

  • Last week, Metallica's Kirk Hammett spoke about Harrington's case. "We are staying positive that she will be found soon," he said. "We are all hoping for the best and praying for her and her family. We all have children and as parents ourselves, it's our worst nightmare for a child to go out and not come back home. We empathize with that greatly, so we are doing what we can to help find her. We are staying positive."

I'm learning more about Metallica's murder case right now, and in particular what I'm wondering is what Metallica's feelings about this is. I was researching the status of this online, and this article caught my attention because it was the first link on Google News. The caption mentioned band member Kirk Hammett's opinion on the matter, so I clicked on it since I was curious to his particular thoughts, knowing Kirk Hammett to be a more softer soul in the heavy metal band. "Last week, Metallica's Kirk Hammett spoke about Harrington's case. "We are staying positive that she will be found soon," he said. "We are all hoping for the best and praying for her and her family. We all have children and as parents ourselves, it's our worst nightmare for a child to go out and not come back home. We empathize with that greatly, so we are doing what we can to help find her. We are staying positive." The quote I chose here is basically saying that Kirk Hammett fully understands the sadness that comes with a missing child, and that it's something everyone fears. However, Metallica is staying positive and optimistic that something positive will turn up.

Joe Perry: 'Aerosmith won't wait for Steven Tyler' | News | NME.COM - 0 views

  • Aerosmith drummer Joe Perry has said the band "won't wait" for Steven Tyler to get back involved with the band after the singer stated that he's not leaving. Tyler joined Perry on stage recently to make the declaration following rumours that he had left the rockers. Now Perry has told Billboard that Tyler wanted a two-year break from the band – but he wants to keep going.

I'm learning more about this incident now about the crisis of the band breaking up. I was researching this question online, and this article caught my attention because it explained what was going on between the two band members. "Aerosmith drummer Joe Perry has said the band "won't wait" for Steven Tyler to get back involved with the band after the singer stated that he's not leaving. Tyler joined Perry on stage recently to make the declaration following rumours that he had left the rockers. Now Perry has told Billboard that Tyler wanted a two-year break from the band - but he wants to keep going. The quote here I chose is basically saying that there is conflict between Tyler and Perry. Although it is not certain that Tyler will leave the band, the two seems to be losing what they once had as band members.

Danger Flowers - 0 views

  •
Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been danger flowers. I remember my Science teacher in third grade talking about it I was very young, but I didn't really understand it because I was very young. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that many people feel that some flowers are very danger. From what I have heard, this is true. Some flowers are very danger and can harm you. For example, I heard that there is this specific flowers that can kill you if you touch it or eat it. Now that's just what I've heard, it may or may not be true. One thing that I know for sure is that some flowers are healthy and others are bad. Now I've studied my share of Environmental Science, and I believe that it's something that people should know just in case you don't know that some flowers are danger. Personally, it's funny to me how flowers that are mainly red are the ones who are poisen. This was immportant in the past because, back then there was many people dieing for strange reasons due to poisen flowers. What I know about this topic is that you should be very careful with kids because kids are the ones that usually pick flowers and sometimes end up eating it. The flower is the reproductive structure of angiosperms or flowering plants. Compared to the reproductive structures of other plants, the flower is unique in several ways. It consists of four kinds of modified leaves, two of which (stamens and carpels, the latter sometimes called pistils) bear pollen and seeds. According to the fossil record, flowering plants appeared only about 140 million years ago, although some recently found fossil evidence suggests that they appeared 80 million years before that. Being that I didn't have a lot of background information on danger flowers, I chose to do some research on the topic. As I searched for blogs and news articles on Google, I came across this one article: http://www.ansci.cornell.edu/plants/. This article provided a lot of info

What I noticed most about "Steam buns 'R' us", was that they chose to talk about Steam Buns out of all things on main street. I guess they find Steam Buns THAT important. This probably stands out to me is because I have never tasted a Steam Bun and to be honest, I don't want to either. I have never liked East-Asian foods. I don't find enough taste in it. Its probably because I'm so used to eating such spicy foods because I'm Pakistani! When Melissa said, "cuz google never lies," I was thinking that's not true! There is lots of stuff on google that's not true. I know she probably said that to add humor to the story but it stood out to me. Another part I really liked was when Hawa said, "And I'm just Korean." It brought humor to the presentation. It really stood out because the music in the background paused. It seemed like the editing was done really well. I enjoyed watching this clip. It was funny, entertaining and informative.

Im learning about Teenagers Behavior and what i am wondering about is why these teensm go threw so much and take it out on other peoples.I was researching this question online and this is article caught my attention because it break down all different types of a teenager behavior and why its like that.I choose this item to read because it hads alot of helpful detail. "All teens act as if there grown and try to out word their parent, most these behavior comes from relationship problems or problems at home with the family" This quote chose here is basically saying teens do what they want if they want to are not because disrespecting a parent is extremely rude but when teenager are all "grown" up they do whatever. I think is a simple quote that explains a lot because i shows how you can take two keywords and make a whole story it makes me wonder why these people came up with there article in all different types of subject form.

Floyd Mayweather Junior title bout against Manny Pacquiao terms agreed : In Entertainment - 0 views

I'm learning more about boxing right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is: Why is Boxing called a sport? I was researching this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because it shows that boxing is something very imporant now days, that their are many boxers that fight and end up being fanous. For example Many Pacquiao, he is an amazing fighter. I can say even better than Oscar DeLa Oya. But lets face it, Oscar is pretty old and can't fight no more due to his age. I blieve. The title of this post that caught my eye is called Intertainment. Something that stood out for me is that Manny is fighting Flyd Mayweather in March 13. Which I find it so INTERESTING!! I have to pay this to see it. It's going to be amazing. Knowing that Mayweather is an amazing fighter. The Best. But for me the best is Manny. http://mmazoo.blogspot.com/2009/12/boxing-elitists-dont-get-it.html Boxing is certainly more popular worldwide than MMA is, but you have to remember, the sport has a long history. Boxing has been reestablished for well over a hundred years, and have a pretty decent talent pool to dip into. The quote I chose here is basically saying that boxing is a sport where is mainly called hobby but it's where you show the people who is the best on this sport. Even though this sport is painful but many people enjoy it seeing it. I think is great. I think this is descriptive adjective because it makes me wonder if what will be the future boxing will it be the same as now or will it change in a way.

For Naismith, Basketball Was Only a Start - NYTimes.com - 0 views

  •
I'm learning more about college basketball, and how and when it was created. What i am really interested in knowing more about is, what made James Naismith (the founder of the game) come up with such an idea? What made him decide one day to take a basket and throw something inside of it and make it a big sport. I decided to research my questions online and this one article in the NY Times caught my attention because it explained why he created the game. I chose the article i did because, what better way to find out more about the game then finding out more about the person that started it. "James Naismith and his wife, Maude, practicing basketball, a game he invented in 1891 as a way to keep rowdy students busy during winter." The quote i chose above basically is explaining James Naismith's reason for creating the sport and who he created it for. He wanted to get the kids that had nothing to do and were going down bad roads to discover the game and get interested in it. Over a winter break or a vacation instead of doing something destructive, they could go and play this sport. I think this is perfect because the game was invented in 1891 and still exists in 2009. It is my favorite sport and has changed a lot over time. It went from using an actual peach basket with no hole in the bottom to having metal rims with nets. The game has evolved into something great and with never go away.

Cut Calories And Lose Weight | Cat Walk Diet - 0 views

  • Losing weight is a life style change if you intend to lose it just once and keep it off!  Fad diets and crash diets can take off weight in a very short period of time.  But keep in mind that usually you end up gaining back all the weight you lost plus a few bonus pounds.  They are also very hard on your body and can lead to heath problems down the road

American's belief of global warming sinking - below 50% for the first time in... - 1 views

  •
I am learning more about global warming right now, and in particular what I'm wonder about is what caused global warming? I was researching this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because it is about global warming and I know that emissions no longer cause global warming by reading this blog post. "According to the survey, roughly a third of the people who believe in global warming think it is due to natural causes, rather than manmade causes such as industrial emissions. As a result, the number who say that global warming is caused by humans has dropped from 54 percent last summer to 45 percent now." The quote I chose here is basically saying that global warming is causing by natural causes but I don't think so. I think people cause global warming too. They kill trees and pour waste water into ocean and rivers. I think this is impressed because it makes me wonder will the percentage of global warming and pollution be higher next year?
