Quinnipiac University | Publishing Web Pages to MyWebSpace using FTP for Macintosh Users - 0 views

  •
Also for my 512 class, I needed an FTP. Quinnipiac offers Fetch for free to students and this page is a guide on how to get the program for your computer. This page is for Mac users, but you can see on the left hand navigation bar that there is a link for PC users too.

Quinnipiac University Campus Map - 0 views

  •
Final Assignment. Interactive, customized Google map of the Quinnipiac campus. Color coded and packed with photos, links and more. The page includes a cascading dropdown select menu (from module 6), so you can see which buildings hold which departments. You can get to more of the official QU website from this page as well - I included the QU's site rollover menu bar. Enjoy the summer!

A fine effort, but need to do this in a plain text editor. Word is definitely not your friend on this one. It might feel like going backward, but please put this up without the markup. Thanks!

What works:- crumb trail still exists, the infamous bulleted list still exists, and all course/ program information is still up there. What doesn't work:- No pictures or logos.

fake profile, etc - 0 views

i know it's a little late... i've been out of pocket for the last couple days. i made a fake profile. didn't quite know what was meant by 'profile,' per say, so i made an 'about me' kind of thing for a random historic figure. the first one who came to mind was Amerigo Vespucci. dont know why! i connected the pages with the horizontal nav bar as well.

Web Hosting:IX WEB HOSTING:Best Web Hosting Site:Webhosting Provider - 0 views

I host at least 5 different sites with this webserver and have never had any trouble. I've used their help desk quite a few times and have always received a response in a timely manner. When I was first looking for a webhost, I found a list of reviews on CNet, and at the time, IXwebhosting was rated #1. The price is right as well. I approve!

I found this site by searching "HTML for Dummies" I had read the book version some time ago when I was starting out with HTML and got distracted by something and lost the book. It gives you some great tips on how to do what you want to do!

HTML Help - 0 views

I have found myself over the years Googling part of a HTML code to make sureI get it written correctly. Most of the time I will type in something like " just as a starting point. I think this site will help elimiate the need for many different sites. This looks to be a one stop shop for any common, and even some obscure HML coding.

For anybody who has Celiac's Disease (or just wants to go gluten-free): Here is a recipe for GF pizza crust. It's a bit long, but it bakes and it should conform to the 1-f standards. Have fun.

Looks good. A couple of notes: bgcolor (in the body tag) should be all one word if you use it, though we'll be doing CSS which gives you more flexibility. Also, you make heavy use of br. BR has a specific place, and what you really should be doing is wrapping each of those paragraphs in p tags. That will make life much easier when it comes to validating your code.

This site is a lot "wordier" than others that I've seen...but what I personally like about it is the examples followed by a short description as to what it is I am looking at. I like that (and learn it easier)

webprog-1-g -- Derek Jeter: Future Hall of Famer? - 0 views

Derek Jeter is a great baseball player, but is he Hall of Fame caliber? Check out his statistics against a couple of other Hall of Hame shortstops and decide for yourself.

Good--and appropriate!--use of the <table> tag. Note, however, that <font> is deprecated, and should be avoided.

Walt Disney World - 0 views

  •
Here is a very basic multi-page site dedicated to Walt Disney World. Each of the four theme parks has its own webpage, linked together through navigation at the bottom of the page. I'd forgotten how hand coding (vs Dreamweaver) can be a time consuming feat! But I survived and it's helping to re-learn basic html codes!
