DERI Vocabularies is a URI space for RDF Schema vocabularies and OWL ontologies maintained at DERI, the Digital Enterprise Research Institute at NUI Galway, Ireland. The site is operated by DERI's Linked Data Research Centre.
LiDRC Lab
Linked Data Research Centre (LiDRC) Laboratory
The LiDRC Lab is a collection of tools and demos we are working on in the Linked Data Research Centre, DERI at NUI Galway.
Experimental Tools & Services
In the table below you'll find tools and services we are experimenting with. They are likely not stable and are subject to (rapid) change.
Welcome to sw, the Linux platform of DERI Galway's Semantic Web Cluster.
Note that sw is a service not supported by DERI's IT group. Use sw at your own risk, and please do put sensitive data somewhere else.
'.. our Semantic Web Portal technology will be a community portal for the Semantic Web community, at semanticweb.org. We aim to bring together research groups, research projects, software developers and user communities in the Semantic Web area.'
Create a Semantic Web Portal, demonstrating the maturity of Semantic Web technology in a real application. The technology, which we will develop together with industrial partners, during the course of the project, will be applicable to community portals for different communities.
JeromeDL is a Social Semantic Digital Library. As a digital library, it allows institutions to easily publish documents on the Web. It supports a variety of document formats and allows to store and query a rich bibliographic description of each document.
Corrib.org is a cluster project, has been started on the base of cooperation between DERI International and Gdansk University of Technology. So far, it gathers together both open source projects being developed based on that cooperations and people affiliated to different sites.
Neologism is a vocabulary publishing platform for the Web of Data, with a focus on ease of use and compatibility with Linked Data principles. Neologism is free and Open Source.
The Dynamic Linked Data Observatory is a framework to monitor Linked Data over an extended period of time. The core goal of our work is to collect frequent, continuous snapshots of a subset of the Web of Data that is interesting for further study and experimentation, with an aim to capture raw data about the dynamics of Linked Data. The resulting corpora will be made openly and continuously available to the Linked Data research community.

Treo: Schema-agnostic queries over databases
Treo is a Semantic Search and Question Answering System for Databases. Treo is designed to cope with the Big Data vision of handling very heterogeneous (schemaless) databases, a scenario where it becomes unfeasible for data consumers to understand the representation of the data in order to query the database.
The Semantic Web is a vision: the idea of having data on the web defined and linked in a way, that it can be used by machines - not just for display purposes, but for using it in various applications. Many ongoing projects and efforts require Semantic Web technology,
DERI's Linked Data Research Centre (LiDRC) is organised into research themes addressing certain aspects of Linked Data publishing and consuming. You can find the current research themes in the table below or have a look at the LiDRC Lab, a collection of tools and services we are working on.
This note intents to guide the interested reader to publishing and consuming linked data with RDFa. As a matter of fact, RDFa is a quite natural way to expose linked data. Let as assume we want to express the authorship of this note:
