A nice crossword puzzle to practice months of the year and ordinal numbers. If your students are crossword puzzle fans, this is the right activity for them:-) I actually searched for this activity for my own teaching purposes and tried this activity with the EEC students in 'communication 3' level. They really liked it and were really quick to do it. I guess it was a bit easy for them, however, I think that it was good that they actually could once more practice their spelling skills.

Might work well with kids learning to read in English.

Engaging for elementary level learners: matching games on different topics like clothes, family members, animals, kitchen items, body parts, etc. Again, I piloted the actiivty with my neighbour Hayk who is 9 years old. what the kid liked more was the fact he should grasp th epcture uqickly and ut it under the right word. Then he failed becaus eof influency with working with the computer, however we did it for some days and he practiced and improved hand movement. Time limit factor was also motivating since he was trying hard to win the game.

It is a very funny game on Preposition. I am very fond of having my learners play it. they do it with a great pleasure.

This game is for practicing prepositions. I have piloted it with three 17-18-year-old students and it has worked very well. It is both fun and uneful as eventually it's a grammar prcatice game.

This is helpful to enrich the kids' vocabulary on basic objects as well as to practice numbers. It can be piloted with kids of 6-7 years old as a revision of numbers and certain vocabuary (e.g. furniture).

Your learners can learn the vocabulary on body parts easily as they can see and hear the target word simultaneously.

Want to learn the names of birds? This game is just for you. I tried it with an low-intermediate level student and it was a success. It has several phases. Firstly, it gives introduction to the game (teaching the names), then the game starts with its three variants. I highly recommend you to visit this site and to make use of this game for your teaching purposes.

The students see many objects and are given a list of names which they should match with their pictures. The names of the objects have more than one meaning. Students are then given sentences where they are going to use the words in other meanings. They can use either logic or dictionary to find different meanings for these names which will fit in the sentences. This activity will work effectively both in the classroom and outside the classroom. It can also be assigned for individual and group work. My students were really interested in the activity. They asked each other, worked collaboratively, also used dictionary and sometimes asked for my help. The output was productive as in the end students remembered all the words.

The PDF file includes a great range of various exercises. This activity is very useful as students learn to read and write while they are listening. Students need to read through the questions in the exercises in the practice materials before listening to the podcast. While they're scanning the text they will get an idea about what they are going to listen to. They have to read the instructions of each exercise carefully, as sometimes they must listen for the 'right' answers. But in some of these questions, they must choose the one answer that is not possible or wrong. These exercises are also appropriate for those who intend to take IELTS or iBT exams later. My students did this activity; they liked it and didn't get bored (the variety of the exercises made them busy and concentrated). I gave them some other podcasts with their support packs and saw their gradual improvement.

This is a nice game, where ur kid is supposed to match the given words with the pics of clothes. I tried it on my sister and saw that she liked the game, as it was colorful. Besides she likes mathcing exercises very much. Ur kid can easily memorize the names of teh clothes with teh help of this exercise.

For beginner students this is a great game. My students played it with joy.

It has several levels of difficulty, so the players are free to chose the level they can manage. I think, this game is very educational for foreign learners, as well.

nice!! I liked it!! the only problem i see is that though the purpose of the game is for low levels (teaching numbers) the speech is a little bit more difficult! However i think that it is a fine activity for native children to learn numbers :) :)THANKS A LOT!

Hangman is an excitement game, plus it is very fruitful for the vocabulary enhancement. The level of the game is high intermediate. Player is supposed to guess the word by clicking on the letters. For some help the player has definition button and the button with the hint. Player has 6 tries to guess the word. I find the game very fascinating and useful.
