This is a wonderful site and everybody can find audio and video materials on their level. All the materials develop listening, speaking, reading skills (skimming, scanning, true/false, etc), increase students' vocabulary. Almost all of them contain pdf files with activities and transcripts which also can be done online. All the materials provide examples (both online and on pdf file). I used some of them in my classes. I would like to talk about the video that explains the differences between the words of American English and British English. It was a wonderful video that could explain the different use of pants/trousers and other words also. In addition to video there are also exercises which also reinforces the vocabulary and provide with additional activities that develop students' different skills.

The PDF file includes a great range of various exercises. This activity is very useful as students learn to read and write while they are listening. Students need to read through the questions in the exercises in the practice materials before listening to the podcast. While they're scanning the text they will get an idea about what they are going to listen to. They have to read the instructions of each exercise carefully, as sometimes they must listen for the 'right' answers. But in some of these questions, they must choose the one answer that is not possible or wrong. These exercises are also appropriate for those who intend to take IELTS or iBT exams later. My students did this activity; they liked it and didn't get bored (the variety of the exercises made them busy and concentrated). I gave them some other podcasts with their support packs and saw their gradual improvement.

In general I have found the BBC Words In the News site to be very good. Here is a video exercise I found. It's probably best for int. to upper int. students. The Video includes and a PDF of the script can be downloaded separately if you wish. and there is an exercise included to reinforce the new grammar.

The flashcards show pictures of artwork, artist names, names of artwork, and date the paintings were created.Let your students recognize great works of art and artists and get aesthetic pleasure like my 13-year-old students did last week.

This is fun and interactive activity. It helps the students practice verb be and have in the present tense.

I used some of these activities during my internship and they were really helpful for practicing present perfect. And besides Ss got to know many things about their peers.

This activity can be helpful for intermediate and above level students who want to improve their knowledge of using correct cohesive devices. The activity provides typical errors in cohesion and helps students notice the errors and choose the best cohesive devices.

This activity can be practiced with pre-intermediate level students. It introduces the learners with nouns that are both countable and uncountable. It allows learners to notice both usages of the nouns in context which are both grammatically correct but one of the sentences sounds unusual or strange. Learners should find out which is more common in each pair.

crossword/activity on Halloween vocabulary for pre-intermediate level of students.

This activity is good for teaching sports and hobbies. It helps students play with the words categorize them according indoor/outdoor activities. I tried this activity with my EEC students. They worked on it as a group and it was productive. There were several new words on the worksheet that we did not cover, I asked the students to guess whether they were indoor or outdoor activities and they succeeded. The students got motivated because I told them it is a competition, and it worked. As a result I got from all four groups right answers;-)

This is the handout of fruits presented just after this post. It contains the picture of fruits presented in the flashcard. Under each picture the name of the fruit is written. Kids can also read and learn the names of the fruits.

This flashcards are useful for teaching. I myself (including my peers) had some difficulties in finding them during our practicum and fortunately I could find the link and I am happy to share it with you.
