Hang Mouse - 1 views

Hang mouse is an excitement game for elementary level players; it is very fruitful for vocabulary enhancement. I like the way it is designed and animated, there are also some sound effects thus the game is attractive and dynamic.

the activity is pretty challenging. It fits intermediate and higher level students. One can choose the topic, there is a range of it, then go on guessing a word. usually there are 7 guess chances which did motivated the stduent. He really enjoyed the activity, however I think students will enjoy even more if they have already some knowledge of the topic, then it gets really interesting.

Hangman is an excitement game, plus it is very fruitful for the vocabulary enhancement. The level of the game is high intermediate. Game- How do you know jobs? - 2 views

  •
This game is designed for high intermediate EFL student. Through this game, EFL learners can revise their knowledge of job descriptions. This game can be played by one player or two players. Accordingly, it will also promote collaboration between learners. An EFL intermediate learner had a chance to choose one of the provided choices and decide whether it corresponds to the job description provided in the game or not and accordingly, to gain particular score or not. I tried it with my brother's wife (24 year-old) and she in some cases guessed the write answer. She had some difficulties because of some words used in job descriptions. Though, she tried to understand the word in context and guess the meaning. I would suggest my peers to use this educational game because it promotes L2 learners language skills in terms of enhancing their vocabulary.

Find the Hidden Animal - 3 views

  •
This game is designed for low intermediate EFL learners. The game is very interesting one, becuase the player is motivated to guess the hidden animal until it appears in full picture (there are three choices for each hidden animal and when the player chooses one of them, the computer either makes green or red line in the word and also pronounces that word). So, this game can also help learners gain right pronunciation skills. I used this game with my neighbour (11-year-old boy) and he was interested in guessing the pictures and tried to pronounce the word after the computer prounced them. I would suggest ESL teachers to use it because it enhanced my neighbour's vocabulary and improves his pronunciation. skills.

This activity is good for developing students' comprehension. How they would analyze the sentence which is given with the missing word. In this game students are provided with some help in the case of if they are not able to guess the answer. It helps students play with the words, match them with the given blank boxes and then fulfill them. I tried this activity with my 2 EEC students. They worked on it as a group and it was productive. The students got motivated because they were trying to guess the missed word the first.

This is a very popular fairy tale translated in many languages of the world. So the children will be familiar with the plot and even if they don't know some words they can guess the meaning. Here they have listening with script, which will help them to develop their listening and reading skills. I played this fairy tale for my little son . He watched it with pleasure and said that the ending is different from other red hat fairy tales.

20 Questions One person thinks of an object (person, place, or thing). Everyone takes turns asking yes/no questions until someone can guess correctly (or until 20 questions are asked). The difficult part is that you cannot ask "wh" questions! Example: PINEAPPLE. Does it talk? No. Does it make life easier?

An advanced level activity, which teaches set expressions on the above mentioned topic. Teaching is content based: guessing the meanings from the video stuff, then reinforcing them with the help of multiple choice activity. I tried it with my sister, and the result was pretty good. After watching the video, she wrote a composition using all the set expressions in the video. She used all of them correctly.

This activity is good for teaching sports and hobbies. It helps students play with the words categorize them according indoor/outdoor activities. I tried this activity with my EEC students. They worked on it as a group and it was productive. There were several new words on the worksheet that we did not cover, I asked the students to guess whether they were indoor or outdoor activities and they succeeded. The students got motivated because I told them it is a competition, and it worked. As a result I got from all four groups right answers;-)

This is a nice LISTENING activity with audio video materials. U can have ur child watch this. After watching perhaps ur child decides to become an interviewer or a weatherforcast man as my sister did. While watching the previous activities she (my sister) decided to become a cook and then she changed her mind and decided to become a weatherforcast woman. The activity is created by the British Coucil. This is a good opportunity to teach your child the names of the countries, continents and flags and quite a lot of adjectives, of course, everything in the target language. Ok, I guess I stop here, as I feel myself like an advertiser. Watch and test it and make ur own judgments. HAVE FUN KIDS.
