This activity is a great one for pair work. Present Perfect is the best to be practiced on activity work sheets like this. Enjoy. I do practice them in my class. Students work individually at first, then they turn to their partner and work with him.

The students see many objects and are given a list of names which they should match with their pictures. The names of the objects have more than one meaning. Students are then given sentences where they are going to use the words in other meanings. They can use either logic or dictionary to find different meanings for these names which will fit in the sentences. This activity will work effectively both in the classroom and outside the classroom. It can also be assigned for individual and group work. My students were really interested in the activity. They asked each other, worked collaboratively, also used dictionary and sometimes asked for my help. The output was productive as in the end students remembered all the words.

This webpage gives some interesting activities for practicing Present Perfect. Some of them I have used some are new. Give it a try. These activities can be done by students in pairs. Students may ask follow up questions such as when, who, with, which will lead them from Present Perfect to Past Simple.

This is an online game you can use if you use technologies in the class. Otherwise, you might print them out and provide handouts to your students. This game can be played in pairs or individually. Or you may want to divide your students into two groups. Provide with two boards or flipcharts and have two groups work separately within a certain time limitation to complete the assignment. The group that finishes first wins and gets a price, star, etc.

This is a useful game for practicing vocabulary and antonyms.It might work best with intermediate level students. This game could also work with advanced level students, however it might not be that challenging.

This listening/speaking activity will teach students about prepositions of place and movement. It may also serve to teach imperatives. This activity will work best with pre-intermediate level of students.

I liked this one very much. If you want to change the rhythm of the class and engage you students in more active and language using activity, then this is what you need!! This can be worked with high beginner students.

This is a very good ice breaker, it can work with all levels. I think the students will appreciate the creativity of their teacher to use M&M's in order to get acquainted with her (the teacher) as well as with each other. I think this can also work with kids, only in that case the teacher would ask the SS to tell about themselves in their native language.

Conceptually might work only for school kids. Great for facts learning and having fun

This activity is good for teaching sports and hobbies. It helps students play with the words categorize them according indoor/outdoor activities. I tried this activity with my EEC students. They worked on it as a group and it was productive. There were several new words on the worksheet that we did not cover, I asked the students to guess whether they were indoor or outdoor activities and they succeeded. The students got motivated because I told them it is a competition, and it worked. As a result I got from all four groups right answers;-)

A game to practice food vocabulary (fruit, vegetables, drinks, meat, desserts...). Students should find foods indicated by chief's list on the side by click on them in a kitchen. I piloted this game with a 12 years-old neighbor of mine, who studies English at elementary level. He was pretty much engaged in the game. Though the food list at side is restricted, foods in the kitchen are not. This makes students to look around to find the food indicated rather than simply choose from a limited set of choices. As there are other food items as well, it also provides an opportunity to teach new food vocab. When the list is done for the 1st time, playing the game again allows to practice new items and a new list is provided. It's definitely more interactive than usual paper-based activities. In case of using it in a class, the teacher can also add some speaking tasks for group work.

Oh Addeh jan I liked the game which was about "preposition of place". reaaly it was very interesting and easy to remember the places of the objects playing this game.

Here you can find reading comprehension worksheets for 2nd Grade students in pdf formats. They are funny and easy to work with. If your student doesn't like to read long texts, as mine, then they are exactly what you need. At the end of every text, there are questions to check your student's reading comprehension. It worked pretty well with my student.

The activity consists of flashcards. Below the pictures there are some words. The teacher can cut the pictures and the words and ask the students to find the corresponding pictures and words. Teachers can assign it as a group or an individual work. This activity is more suitable for class work. I gave this activity to my daughter and she was interested in it. She asked me to give her more activities like that. So, I decided to give such activities to my beginner group students.

Listen to a sentence and then click the word that's asked for. Very basis level of reading. Might work well for beginning readers who already have a solid oracy skills in English like native speaking kids. 

Read about facts and match them to countries. Not as interactive, but could work for lessons where you discuss geography and agriculture. 

This is a nice speaking activity that could work with both intermediate and advanced level students. It helps the learners to practice their vocabulary, cohesion and transition words, as well as enables the students to use their creativity. This activity might also develop impromptu speech since the students are required to create their story orally, consequently there will be some spontaneous changes.

This is a lively activity that can be used for practicing four language skills, as well as for reinforcing students' memory. It can work with pre-intermediate, intermediate and advanced level students by choosing passages with different levels of complexity.

It can be used to energize a dull class, to review work that was done or simply as a reward for good classroom work.
