Knowing synonyms is important for L2 language learners in order not to repeat the same words in writing or in speaking. Although it is designed for the elementary level, I advise this activity for intermediate level because I experimented with children in elementary level I saw that the words are a little bit more sophisticated.

Wow amazing warm up activity! if you don't have time to make beautiful name pads, then this activity is just what you need. This will help your students and you to learn each others names and at the same time to enrich with new vocabulary. Another alternative to this, is writing down names of fruits and vegetables on the board beforehand, in order to help your learner to feel comfortable while participating in this game/activity.

This is a very good ice breaker, it can work with all levels. I think the students will appreciate the creativity of their teacher to use M&M's in order to get acquainted with her (the teacher) as well as with each other. I think this can also work with kids, only in that case the teacher would ask the SS to tell about themselves in their native language.

I used these dialogs with my brother, who wanted to improve his English. Generally speaking he wanted to listened to native speakers speech and daily conversations. During the listening I didn't show the transcript of the dialogs in order to check whether he understood the meaning. To tell the truth there were some unknown words and expressions even for me. He could get the main meaning of the dialogs, however there were words and expressions that were quite difficult for him to understand. So, to solve the problem I used the vocabulary list written below.

This is a listening exercise which aims to assist learners' intonation and stress. For this song, upper intermediate students should listen and fill in the blanks with no help or discussion. They should then check what they have written with classmates. Once the lyrics are completed, students should be encoureged to sing along with the song, in order to practise the stress and intonation. I practised it with my student when having tutoring and it helped greatly.

This was the activity which i would recommend to intermediate. learners. It would be reasonable to give them questions beforehand in order to concentrate their attention span on their listening. In this way they would be able to absorb the information more thoroughly.

I tried this activity with my 9-year-old student of beginning level.Children at this age irrespective of their proficiency level are eager to listen to any tales.It helps her to product her speeh usiin the limited stock of vocabulary, even separate words. But her excitement and willingness empowered her to solve the appropriate puzzle based on the fable.

This audio book is a good sample for developing both listening and reading skills. The book also includes pictures which in its case make the story interesting and attractive. IT also can be printed. The text is not so simple so, the students should have good English skills in order to understand the content of the text.

These flashcards can be used for teaching children animals

These are flashcards of animals. They are colorful and funny. I'm completely sure kids will like them

When I was doing my practicum in EEC I really had problems in finding good flashcards. The problems was that in order to find a picture of a particular animal, I had to type the animal's name (eg.lion, cat) and then choose on of them, then change the size (make it bigger or smaller) and this process took me a long time. When I found this site I was very happy because they are very funny and colorful and there are approximately 10-15 animal picture that I can print immediately without searching them long or changing the size.

This is a really nice set of flashcards which helps teach 'facial expressions' vocabulary. In order to avoid yourself using L1 in your language classroom use this!

The certain activates are checking the learners 'knowledge of time sense as well as the correct ordering of week- days. Each question has an answer choice. In case of correct answer the learner goes to the next question but if the answer is incorrect the learner is provided with the explanation of the correct answer.

This game will help to practice Present Tense and improve and deepen the knowledge of it by making right questions. It will also help to improve vocabulary and reading as one should read, understand and then write the sentences in right order.

The fridge raider is looking for food. You should read the sentence at the top and decide what article comes before the noun. You should help the fridge raider to get a snack with your knowledge.In order to win you should make fewer than five mistakes!!! It assists in reinforcing article usage.I played this game with my high elementary level student.It was very productive.

While they're scanning the text they will get an idea about what they are going to listen to. They have to read the instructions of each exercise carefully, as sometimes they must listen for the 'right' answers. But in some of these questions, they must choose the one answer that is not possible or wrong. These exercises are also appropriate for those who intend to take IELTS or iBT exams later. My students did this activity; they liked it and didn't get bored (the variety of the exercises made them busy and concentrated). I gave them some other podcasts with their support packs and saw their gradual improvement.
