I have tried this activity with my group of advaned learners, and it was really efficient, as they are used to learn the words through glossaries.Besides,it helped to enhance their vocabulary adding some new words with their definitions.

A game to practice food vocabulary (fruit, vegetables, drinks, meat, desserts...). Students should find foods indicated by chief's list on the side by click on them in a kitchen. I piloted this game with a 12 years-old neighbor of mine, who studies English at elementary level. He was pretty much engaged in the game. Though the food list at side is restricted, foods in the kitchen are not. This makes students to look around to find the food indicated rather than simply choose from a limited set of choices. As there are other food items as well, it also provides an opportunity to teach new food vocab. When the list is done for the 1st time, playing the game again allows to practice new items and a new list is provided. It's definitely more interactive than usual paper-based activities. In case of using it in a class, the teacher can also add some speaking tasks for group work.

Oh Addeh jan I liked the game which was about "preposition of place". reaaly it was very interesting and easy to remember the places of the objects playing this game.

This activity is good for developing students' comprehension. How they would analyze the sentence which is given with the missing word. In this game students are provided with some help in the case of if they are not able to guess the answer. It helps students play with the words, match them with the given blank boxes and then fulfill them. I tried this activity with my 2 EEC students. They worked on it as a group and it was productive. The students got motivated because they were trying to guess the missed word the first.

Dear all, here is a link where I found a collection of strange signs. You may enjoy sharing it with your students or colleagues. Actually it is not an activity but it is an excellent raw material for creating a good activity. For example you may ask your students to decide what is wrong in these signs and getting students to correct them. Since the list is very funny and authentic I think it is very motivating for discussing it too so this may become a very good topic for the classroom discussion. Anyway I think you may create an excellent activity for the development of your students' speaking skills.

You are stranded in a deserted island.Your car is out of gas.Match words with the four groups and find way to civilization.This game is especially useful for vocabulary learning. I tried it with my 12 years old brother who has low inetrmediate level.It helped him greatly.

This is a classroom game where students answer questions to win billions.The questions involve grammar items. Students anwsering correctly to all question will earn billions.I tried this game with a group of learners it was very productive.They say it reinforces grammar knowledge.

The students see many objects and are given a list of names which they should match with their pictures. The names of the objects have more than one meaning. Students are then given sentences where they are going to use the words in other meanings. They can use either logic or dictionary to find different meanings for these names which will fit in the sentences. This activity will work effectively both in the classroom and outside the classroom. It can also be assigned for individual and group work. My students were really interested in the activity. They asked each other, worked collaboratively, also used dictionary and sometimes asked for my help. The output was productive as in the end students remembered all the words.

The Game practices vocabulay concerning with Home, Furniture,Actions, Rooms - Bedroom, Bathroom, Living room. It is recuired for classroom use. It is both group and individual game as is depends on the learners. They will choose numer of the players.

This game gives the student the opportunity to activate his/her vocabulary. It provides the student with eight letters and the student has to make up as many words with these letters as possible. Good game for individual and group work. My students liked it but they said that they had better play this game at home. They confessed that this game if played regularly activates passive vocabulary.

This is good activity for advanced beginner level students to practice three things at the same time - Modal verbs, asking Polite questions, and Special questions. I'm going to try it with my practicum group.

This is a nice speaking activity that could work with both intermediate and advanced level students. It helps the learners to practice their vocabulary, cohesion and transition words, as well as enables the students to use their creativity. This activity might also develop impromptu speech since the students are required to create their story orally, consequently there will be some spontaneous changes.

This is a lively activity that can be used for practicing four language skills, as well as for reinforcing students' memory. It can work with pre-intermediate, intermediate and advanced level students by choosing passages with different levels of complexity.
